Hi, cracker! I'm new to this forum and new to GBAATM, and I wanted to know how to add more than one code. I've tried everything I could think of to add more, but every time I try to, it glitches the patched rom. I'm using Code Breaker codes on "1277 - Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (U)". Here's an example of the code:

Code:
Infinite Coins
820048E0 270F

Quick Level Up (In-Battle)
83003F62 FFFF

Hold Select For Stat Bonus Always +9
74000130 03FB
33003F82 0009

Press R+A For 9 Spirits (HooHoo Mountain)
74000130 02FE
32004EFC 0009

Infinite Lives In Jump Rope Game
8300686A 0000
830068EA 0000

Have All Items
420048E2 6363
0000000D 0002

Have All Beans
82004902 6363
82004904 6363

Have All Key Items
4200490A FFFF
00000004 0002

Infinite HP (Mario)
82004866 03E7

Max Hp (Mario)
8200486A 03E7

Infinite BP (Mario)
8200486C 03E7

Max BP (Mario)
82004870 03E7

Max All Stats (Mario)
42004866 03E7
0000000E 0002

Infinite HP (Luigi)
820048A2 03E7

Max HP (Luigi)
820048A6 03E7

Infinite BP (Luigi)
820048A8 03E7

Max BP (Luigi)
820048AC 03E7

Max All Stats (Luigi)
420048A2 03E7
0000000E 0002

Thanks in advance! (By the way, that's exactly how the code was inputted)

Mario & Luigi is touchy when codes are on when it boots up. Use the enable/disable option with No for Enabled at start. Then once you are in game turn the cheats on. Also you will want to avoid using cheats during the training part of the game or it will mess you up (like when your HP is supposed to go down to trigger the events in the tutorials).

Actually, I was referring to the trainer menu being glitchy rather than the game itself, and I am currently waaaaaay past the beginning of the game and the tutorials... But thanks anyway! I just tried playing it in an emulator (VisualBoyAdvance 1.7 for Mac OS X) and the menu wasn't as glitched as before, but it was still a bit screwed up ("before" meaning when I had played it on my DS Lite using a CycloDS Evolution with firmware v1.53 and an EZFlash V 3in1)! One more thing, I ran GBAATM with DarWine on my MacBook Pro. Thanks!

How exactly is it glitchy? I just used the whole list of codes along with the menu and it ran fine in VBA for Win32. Perhaps it is a problem with the patching under the emulation or maybe it is the port of VBA causing it?

Would you mind testing this out:
CODECheck Enable/Disable
No for Enabled at start
Mario and luigi/superstar saga for the name
Everything else default

And use all of the codes that you posted. It should output a file with the CRC32 of C62DA94F. If not then DarWine is messing up the patching process. If it does then VBA could be to blame for glitched graphics or whatnot. On the real hardware side of things it's possible that game gets messed with when it is copied over to the 3in1.

I greatly appreciate your help, cracker... Now it actually works right! One issue is that it is still glitched when I play it on my DS Lite (the glitches are that the names of the cheat codes are overlapping some of the text at the top of the screen, and they are partially going offscreen), but it is ENTIRELY fixed when emulated with VisualBoyAdvance. But I don't think that it will matter very much since it is still readable and the cheats can still be selected! Thanks for all of your help!

Alright... I've got no idea whatsoever about why this happened, but I tried it out again on the actual hardware exactly as I did before –– after I had tweaked it just like you told me to do, and it actually had no glitches whatsoever (minus the fact that it wouldn't allow me to use the "Infinite HP (Mario)" cheat without freezing immediately after enabling it)!

@Whipon:
I found out what the problem was and Hulk and Naruto work fine with those codes. Try DBZ too and it should work fine.

@metron:
Use this code instead... I tested it a bit and it worked fine.

CODEMother 3 Debug Menu
C4000130 01FF
8200B578 037D
8200B57C 00F8
8200B57E 00A8

Edit: Accidentally made the joker so it would work with L and/or R. It wouldn't have affected gameplay but this is the 'proper' code.
Thank you so much. It works now!

You can choose whether or not to have an enable/disable function added at the time of patching and whether or not to enable or disable codes on startup.

Final Fantasy IV Advance (E)

When using your cheat menu I get static in the sound and messed up graphics.

Codes I'm using:
Infinite Gil
8200693C 967F
8200693E 0098

The codes work and the glitch disappears if I disable Trainer Menu. Tested in VBAm. Tried different memory locations, but still has glitch when trainer menu is enabled. Also tried adding a name, not adding a name, switched cheat engines from raw to CODE/SHARK but still no go.

Any help would be appreciated.

If that is for codes, it would be handy to prepare EXE 4.5 with all Navis selection since we probably can't put our hands on BCG

I'm glad you're enjoying GBAATM. It's good to hear feedback every now and then to know that people are still actively using my projects.
smile.gif

I was thinking about adding some font importing ability for the next version of the menu. I am in the middle of making a proper menu that will have both a customizable background and hopefully some other goodies. When I say proper I mean sprite based instead of the bitmap mode that is used in the current menu so that blinking and slight slowdown due to the scroller + button moving in the menu will be eliminated. It'll be pretty much for aesthetics but I'm still interested in furthering my knowledge of the GBA hardware for future projects.

I'll try to look into the Ghost Rider issue if I get time but have been keeping pretty busy in my spare time working with circuitry (and currently trying to successfully etch PCBs w/o success so far

Ok maybe I'm just an idiot. But I have read through the 14 pages of posts and I still have no idea on how to make a cht file for gbaatm. I have been trying for about 4 hours now trying to add gameshark codes to Final Fantasy VI Advance with no luck at all. When I try to convert them in gbaccc it says they are not valid. Will someone please lend me a hand

First off, fantastic little tool you made here, I've gotten it to work on many games. I thank you for it
smile.gif

I've also been trying to train FF6 Advance, adding a single code (tried multiple but the same thing occurs)
It appears to work fine, for Inf Gil the trainer menu is there, I can enable the code etc. But once I press start and the opening begins to play all I can hear is really intense static noise... Is this just one of those games that can't be trained properly?

Any advice/help is appreciated.

Cheers

Give me an example of a code you are trying to convert with GBACCC. 'Gameshark codes' is very often a misleading label since there are multiple versions of the GS and codes for other cheat carts are often mis-labeled as GS codes.

Try changing the 'Execute every X cycles' to a higher value and hopefully that will take care of the music/sfx problem.

Mega Man Zero 3 just gives me a white screen

There are so many things that could be going on that you need to give me more info to go on -- cheat codes used, menu or not, etc.
