Hacking Gateway support for Firmware 9.0 – 9.2 Coming

Maybe they just wait until the new3DS are available for Europe/US (or at least manufactured) so that their solution will also work on these models.

That would make alot of sence if they have a unique exploit, if not then they will have to push it out sooner rather then later.

I think the main reason for the delay is them trying to figure out a way for 9.2 users to update the red carts

Hope you don't mind being stuck with the same 10 games forever on it, that's why I won't be buying a sky3ds.

I don't know how to setup WIFI and don't want to mess with settings for now.
Is there a retail game wich update to 9.0-9.2 ?

Not yet, all you need to do is press the little button in the top left on the touch screen to enter into the wifi on and off, add your network and then goto the estore and it will ask to update, iI'd do it before Nintendo roll out a higher firmware

If you don't have wifi set up at your own place, odds are you can get a connection at a hotspot like in a McDonalds or something.
Though I'm not sure how well those'd work to update your device in terms of speed, it'd probably be your best bet.

Only Japan has the 9.1 firmware. Im wondering why not tell everyone to update to 9.2 instead of being at 9.0. Why so specific?

Gateway made an announcement that they'd soon have support for 9.x consoles. Apart from one reseller saying that the 9.x support will have no emuNAND or homebrew support, it's all speculation until Gateway make an another anouncement.

I've finally succeeded in updating to 9.2 after countless random stylus tapping and trials and errors steps.Lol
I should have purchased a PAL instead.

So if you wanted to buy a N3DS right now, could you buy the Japanese version update to 9.2 and use gateway (if GW aint bullshitting) as if it was a US system (i.e. play US games)? I've only ever owned a US nintendo system, but my assumption was always that gatway wasn't region locked in the way the actual system is with retail carts.

GW has always been region free up until now so it should be the same with 9.2.
Otherwise I'm screwed.
