Hacking Gateway not found?

dunno if this is entirely relevant but i once had a DS Lite that was OK playing retail games, everything worked, except it would never pick up my action replay

my other DS Lite detected it just fine as well as retail games

so it might not be the contacts of your card, could be the 3DS. have you tried it on another system? If it ends up working then you just wanna swap out the game cart slot on your 3DS which is actually pretty easy to do

hey I got a problem here .. actually was a problem with a friend's one since mine didn't came yet ...
the thing is that when we try to boot gateway mode, it's say that no card are inserted, but it does õ3o maybe it's a defect on the card ?

You could try to put a piece of paper or a couple layers of tape on the front of the GW to push it toward the contacts a little in case it's a contact issue. Don't use too much as it might bend the contacts in your 3DS if you overdo it and stop other cards from working, whereas if you use too little you can always add another layer. Make sure you leave a flap sticking out in case the paper gets jammed in there so you can pull it out.

I can assure the GWcard are on the 3DS with and microSD card in exFAT formatation :x

Sure you have Gateways Ultra V3.0.2b Launcher.dat file on your sd card?, its reading as if you have still got V2.7 on it. Double check, download V3.0.2b of Gateways site and put the launcher.dat file on the route of your sd card and try and boot again. Obviously make sure your GW red card is inserted booting your 3DS up but you know that, just checking

Yeah, also my actual gateway (this one with a problem is a friend's one) arrived today and it just worked with the same file and SD that I was testing on the other (I still learning but the multgame menu worked yay XD) but his one still not working :/

Have you tried a complete new install on the 3DS, format it first thats not working?.

Edit: sorry is it the actual one Gateway card that is not working on either 3DS's you have tested it with? Have you ran a diagnostic check in GW menu with the red card that is faulty?

yep we tried that
and just one are not working, the diacnostic test with this one get fail in all

Where did you buy the working Gateway card from and where did you buy the faulty Gateway card from?, were they both bought from the same retailer or different?

yepo, the same retailer, but his come on the end of last year and mine today so probably we have some lot*stock difference here õ3o

Probably his has just gone dodgy over a period of time and constant use. I don't suppose these GW cards are going to last for ever for any of us but of course you expect a little bit more time than that, lol but over time they must go wrong on us eventually, oh lol, end of last year, I see!. I don't suppose he has any chance of a replacement but an idea for you, if you emailed the same company back, seen as though you have just bought one of them, they might even be quite helpful and assist you and give you a replacement as a goodwill gesture for loyalty or something like that, give it ago

I think he actually never used it because we are wainting the 9.2 release (sorry if I got what you said wrong :x) but we will try anyway XD since he never used it :x
