Insert and eject the card a few times then try booting gateway mode. The metal pins on the card could be dirty, try cleaning them with an appropriate cleaning agent and a cotton swab.

they don't look dirty, but I tried and still the same :/ Retail games works normally

If GW is hiding then it must not want to be found.

Try the following.

1. Try with a normal game cart, just to make sure the problem is with the gateway.
2. Verify the gateway has the micro sd inserted
3. If the micro sd cart "IS" inserted and is yet not working, Clean the micro sd cart and gateway cart with at least 60% rubbing alcohol.
4. Reboot the 3ds.

5.optional repeat the above once more just to make sure

Well you said it's not your 3ds as normal carts work, can only be:

Dirty gold fingers on the micro SD or Gateway cart or either one of them is damaged.

Do you mean at the gateway launcher screen there's no card? Or once you've booted into Gateway mode (at Home screen)

Retail carts work under classic mode whereas if you actually wanna use your GW you're gonna have to go into Gateway mode

Provided you already know that, to access your GW you need to go into Gateway mode and hit select

If that's when it gives you that 'no card found' error then damn I really don't know. it's odd because if you were able to get into emuNAND at all then it must have detected your GW cart. so I'm thinking it's more a software issue than a hardware one. are you able to format emuNAND and then try?

I've tried with a "contact cleanner" product and still nothing

I can't even start the Gwmode to start it's first update o-o
Where's the launcher.dat file located?
Root of the 3DS SD

What I get is this:

I can assure the GWcard are on the 3DS with and microSD card in exFAT formatation :x

Seems like a faulty card then, it should detect the card at that stage. Best you can do is clean the contacts or attempt to get a replacement

dunno if this is entirely relevant but i once had a DS Lite that was OK playing retail games, everything worked, except it would never pick up my action replay

my other DS Lite detected it just fine as well as retail games

so it might not be the contacts of your card, could be the 3DS. have you tried it on another system? If it ends up working then you just wanna swap out the game cart slot on your 3DS which is actually pretty easy to do

Yea Ken I like that throwback grey also. Bet that anniversary pro gonna be close to 1G tho.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I now regret buying that Dead Rising remaster. Its ok and fun, but not worth the $60. 7/10
  • Veho @ Veho:
As graphics get better and better and better, the difference between generations becomes less and less noticeable to me. I be watching YT videos about games and can't tell when in the last 10-15 years they came out. It's all very pretty and HD, and it's all the same to me.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Personally I think the HDR is more of an advancement than the 4k resolution is. Colors are so much more vivid than past generations.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Isn't HDR a feature of your screen and not the console?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Both, and games have to support it also.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Do they work with more colors for that or what?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No way switch supports HDR and people go nuts over those games and for quality wise they don't look that bad

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
And most people don't know, but to notice differences between 1080 vs 4k, you must be close to the screen. https://www.howtogeek.com/818835/whats-the-best-tv-viewing-distance/
  • Veho @ Veho:
I do everything on my PC monitor, I'm as close to the screen as it's possible to get.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
This is why we need 4k on smartphones I want to see the dick pulse
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's wild 4k was invented in 2006 kids are gonna grow up never experiencing 1080
  • Veho @ Veho:
So basically, software and console side, HDR means the brightness level now goes from "0" to "2" where "1" is the brightest that older monitors could go.

  • Veho @ Veho:
And SDR just goes from 0 to 1.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Upscaling is just as good as HDR imo
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Alot of cheap TVs HDR is just upscaling
  • Veho @ Veho:
HDR is about color and brightness, not resolution.
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yes and TVs have software that can make it look just as good
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Upscaling to 4k just copies and adds pixels next to existing pixel to make the image bigger. Sometimes upscalling makes the image look worse even. blurry.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It depends on the amount of nits per TV
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If you get a 250nit TV with HDR the 400nit TV is going to look better without HDR
  • Veho @ Veho:
Upscaling sometimes resamples images. It's just just a "closest neighbour and then some" duplicating, you have directional gradients, multidirectional gradients, all sortsa bullshit.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Nits is brightness
