Osu Tatakae Ouendan
Moero Nekketsu Damashii Osu Tatakae Ouendan 2
Alvin and the chipmunks
As I said before, anything with Scribblenauts in the name is a no.
I've also said before that my mother will not play anything music-based.
She also stays away from games in languages that aren't English.
And Guitar Hero? BUTTONS. And music.
Alvin in the Chipmunks is so horrible that my mother even said so.
Oh my God your Mother is so damn Picky

Meteos

I'm going to second this just because of the amount of hours I put into it. Damn fun game. Seriously get your mother to at least try a game before turning it down.

I actually made her try Meteos a while ago. She tried it and said it was too hard because you couldn't shift the blocks both horizontal and vertical.. But then when I made her try Disney Meteos she said it was way too easy. Then she told me never to make her try anything similar to Meteos ever again.

Professor Layton
She doesn't like war games or first person shooters
She doesn't like RPGs
She doesn't like farming games OR RPGs
She doesn't like farming games (She goes as far as to compare all farming games to Farmville)
She doesn't like RPGs
She doesn't like fighters
According to her, she takes care of enough pets already.
We tried this game together. She doesn't like it because it's much too difficult and it requires you to read something to figure out the puzzles.

I tried that, but when I handed her my friend's PSP she asked where the stylus was. Upon being told the buttons were required, she put the system down and refused to play it. Well, not totally, anyway. I at least got her to try the internet browser. It took her 20 minutes to do what I could've done in 5, she constantly asked which buttons to push, and once she was finished doing what she had set out to do, she said she didn't like using the buttons.

Your Mom sounds like the most picky gamer I've ever encountered. She would have been so far better off getting an iDevice, it's pretty insane.

I give up...just give her a coloring book and call it a day.

After reading over this, I agree with TwinRetro. It appears that she doesn't actually like video games, but she's trying to make herself think she does.

ok, wut?

that's every DS game listed -_-
your mom should learn to use buttons. NAO!

Well she doesn't like coloring books. She wants more DS games. No PDAs, either.

She can do the computer buttons pretty well, actually. I don't know why she doesn't just try DS games that require buttons.... It may actually be because the buttons on a Nintendo DS are all so small and grouped so close together (I have a problem with that from time to time, too, but that's because when I play Jam with the Band I somehow have to grip the DS as if I were trying to crush it just to press the buttons on time), but I don't know. I never really asked her why.

I know she likes the DS. I mean, she really gets into the two games she got with it....
And I know she likes video games. She plays the NES a lot and occasionally plays the SNES. And I know she can do some of the faster games, too. She plays stuff like Donkey Kong Country, Klax, Dr. Mario, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Seicross... It's funny. The button layout for the SNES is the same for the DS... I know she forgot the layout, though. She hasn't used her SNES in quite a few years.

TechnoWorm said:
Oh wait.... You could give her Diner Dash
She didn't like the DS port, according to what I saw when I left her alone with my R4 and came back while she was in the middle of yelling at the game because it wasn't doing things exactly like the PC version....

Well. then, give her a chalk and a blackboard, a pencil and a paper, a television, FOODS, a bed,

Why? She wants to play games on her DS, more than she has now.

Just a shot in the dark here, but try to see if she'd like to play any games in Gamestops' "Like *******? We Also Recommend:" list. Here. I'll link you to them.

Magnetica
*Electroplankton
*Super Monkey Ball: Roll And Touch
*Break Them All
*Polarium

Slingo Quest
*Puzzler World
*Bejewled Twist
*50 Games Classic
*Book Worm
*100 All Time Favorites

There are more choices, but I chose titles based on the ones the original post said she enjoyed.

Electroplankton has no main goal, therefore she wouldn't want to play it.
SMBRaT is another no, since she doesn't like that series.
She doesn't like break'em ups.
Polarium? She doesn't like trace-the-lines games.

Puzzler World...No. She doesn't want a DS game just for one of many functions of it. She wants to use all the things, but the only thing she'd use in Puzzler World is the Sudoku.
Bejeweled Twist, as I've said before, is extra amounts of no that we've never seen before.
50 Classic Games is another Clubhouse Games, which she doesn't care for
She never liked Bookworm
100 All Time Favorites is yet another Clubhouse Games.

Yes I'm sure. Personally, I like most of the games you've suggested for my mother.
