Gaming Games for Mothers?

I shall repeat, too.

My mother does not like drawing in any way, shape, or form. Nor would she like Cooking Mama. Every time I mention even the name Cooking Mama, she tells me she cooks enough in a day and is already a mother, so why would she want to pretend to do all of that?

FFS...now she's just being difficult. I cook for my family every day too, yet I still enjoy Cooking Mama.

I give up. I'm convinced your mother is trolling you.

RPGs are out of the question, Phoenix wright has too much talking, Megaman requires the buttons most of the time, Scribblenauts is most likely a no (she said no when I described the concept to her)...

And I do not know how to create NDS games, let alone ports of actual games.

OK, last resort. A game that isn't fast-paced to play, doesn't belong on a TV screen, doesn't use the buttons, touch screen or anything!

THAT IS IT.

This is the only DS program I can think of that suits your obviously uninterested in DS gaming and really just f@cking around with you mother.

She doesn't have an R4, so it has to be a retail game.

Tetris DS actually has 2 touch screen modes, and they're both pretty addicting.

Pokemon Trozei
Meteos
Planet Puzzle League

Are all simple titles with endless modes that have very simple game play that's touch screen based.

I have just told my mom about these things.

She WILL be getting Peggle, as she has played it on the computer.

She has also said that she wants regular old tetris, not a special mode of it that isn't in any way exactly like regular tetris.
She has said that Pokemon Trozei, Meteos, and Planet Puzzle League are the kinds of games she does not like.

Both Tetris games on the DS have a classic mode if I'm not mistaken.

This. Tetris Party Deluxe IMO is better than Tetris DS...

Though if she does have fond memories of the NES, she might like the classic mode on Tetris DS more because of all the NES imagery.

Just be sure to tell her that all it needs is two buttons and the D-pad. (Hell maybe one button since the Hold feature wasn't in the original Tetris.)

Yes, but those require the buttons. If my mother plays a Tetris game on the DS, it must have a touch screen compatible classic mode. She won't play it otherwise.
Wait, she wants a classic mode that doesn't play like a classic mode?

Why would she want a 'classic' mode if it doesn't use buttons? It completely negates the purpose of 'classic'.

She would've been better off getting an iPod/iPhone/iPad then. Those things have no buttons whatsoever, and they have a touch-controlled version of Tetris.

Crafting with Mama(?)
Gardening Mama
Cooking with Jamie Oliver
Pokemon trozei
As I have already said, those games are all 'no.'

She doesn't want an iWhatever. They're too expensive.

Scribblenauts
Super Scribblenauts
Rhythm Heaven
Guitar Hero
Osu Tatakae Ouendan
Moero Nekketsu Damashii Osu Tatakae Ouendan 2
Alvin and the chipmunks

Rhythm Heaven might be too weird, but it's also super simple and fun so I'd give it a shot.

My mom loved Picross DS as soon as she started playing online and it got competitive. I just let her play for a few minutes and was actually really surprised by how much she liked it, then I got my DS back a few hours later.

Her all time favorite game's probably Dr. Mario, but the only Dr. Mario that comes to mind for DS is the minigame in Brain Age 2.

As I said before, anything with Scribblenauts in the name is a no.
I've also said before that my mother will not play anything music-based.
She also stays away from games in languages that aren't English.
And Guitar Hero? BUTTONS. And music.
Alvin in the Chipmunks is so horrible that my mother even said so.

She doesn't want to try Rhythm Heaven because it's a rhythm-based game.

She also doesn't want Picross because when I made her try she got confused (the tutorial made her think all of it was really easy).

She also doesn't really like the Brain Age series. I showed her the game on my R4, but she got too bored to play it after she calculated her brain age.

I'm going to second this just because of the amount of hours I put into it. Damn fun game. Seriously get your mother to at least try a game before turning it down.
