My mother just got a Nintendo DS the other day and hasn't really figured out what she wants for it more than the two she bought with it. Can you guys help?

She's liked these games:
Magnetica
Slingo Quest

I've showed her these games, but she didn't like them (or couldn't play them):
Tetris DS (Because it used the buttons)
Warioware Touched (Because it was too weird and the microgames were too fast)
Professor Layton and the Curious Village (Because you had to read to solve the puzzles)
Brain Age (It wasn't fun after the first five minutes)
Picross DS (She just didn't like it)
Picross 3D (She just didn't like it)
Pic Pic (She just didn't like it)
New Super Mario Bros. (Because it used the buttons)
Burger Island (Because it was stupid and wasn't Burger Shop or Hot Dog Bush)
Mystery Case Files: Millionheir (Too much talking, not enough finding. The screen was also too small to find anything)

I think she wanted BurgerTime, but that doesn't appear to be a title you can buy for the Nintendo DS. If I loaned her my R4, an emulator would also be out of the question because it uses the buttons. The screen is also too small for a game that should've been playing on a television (Or so she says. I can play the games just fine in the emulator).

I hope this is enough information!

If you can get her to play games that utilize the buttons, you would have a much better time finding a game to play.
Well, she doesn't know how to use them. I mean, she just recently learned how to use the arrow keys with one hand, and that was because she really wanted to play BurgerTime Deluxe. She doesn't really want to play the Nintendo DS as much as she did BurgerTime, so she won't actively try to learn the buttons at all. It makes it easier if the games she gets are all touch screen controlled.

I tried to get her to play a game that utilizes the buttons. I really did.

...Oh! I just remembered another game she didn't like.

She could try Broken Sword, sliding fixes the problem of pixel hunts on a small screen.

Also, Bejeweled Twist is like the PC version just... portable.

Give her 999!

Anything having sexual jokes or content.
It's a Nintendo handheld. There isn't anything like that.

She didn't like Bejeweled Twist on the PC, so I wasn't going to even let her know it was on the Nintendo DS. (Which is why I didn't mention it in the games she didn't like.)
As I've said before, if it has more than a tutorial, there's too much dialogue for her.
And LOL, 999. She REALLY wouldn't like that one. There's WAY too much dialogue.

I think she needs shovelware.
No... I wouldn't do that to her.

Cursed Canvas? Elite Beat Agents?
Well, Canvas Curse would be too fast for her and she just doesn't like any music-orientated game in general.

Puzzle Quest is part RPG. With the jewel switching games, my mom likes to switch any one she pleases, not have to find specific jewels to switch.

My mother doesn't order off of the internet.

My mother says she'll never try a cooking game for the DS since she's got enough cooking games on the PC.

ahh that sucks then

i have touch and go, and i would say its a pretty decent game(although now there better games out there

There's not much in the possible list now, is there?

Nope since the vast majority require button control

You might as well sell your moms DS for a iPod touch or something...

Big Bang Mini
Mario vs Donkey Kong March Of the Minis
Plants vs Zombies

If none work...I'll go check my full library. >__

Dunno if you can find it, but quickspot is a nice and easy-going touch-only game. It's a spot the differences game with a lot of pictures.

You might also try the legend of zelda: the phantom hourglass. I don't know if your mother is going to like it, but the game is fully touch controlled.
