Hacking G6 Real Cleaner?

Well I own a G6 Real and it worked perfectly until a week ago.
I checked my USB reader and cord and nothing was wrong with it.
But the contacts on the G6 look craaazy rusted.

ANYWAY, my question is if anyone has ever tried cleaning their G6 Real.
AND, if you did, what did you use?

I'm thinking of using plain rubbing alcohol but I sorta want others opinions before I risk ruining my G6.

Yeah so were mines. I just used a cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts, let it dry and good as new.

Alcohol does fine in small amounts, and after that leave it to completely dry. Store your reader in a safer place next time :X
