Is there a way to expand the NAND size for DSiWare games or somehow install them to the MicroSD like everything else?

There's no fix (yet). I doubt there'll be one for a while too because from what I've heard, a fix would be difficult to create.

That storage issue is ridiculous considering how many DSiWare games are available.
What a sad waste for those with 64gb/128gb MicroSD cards.

You can export a DSiWare game to the SD card for storage. You can’t play it when you do this but you can restore it when you want to.
