Hi all, i'm having a bit of an issue here, i'm reading this tutorial on maxconsole about downgrading my firmware to 4.x, and it's telling me that because i have an Australian 3DS that i need to format the sysnand, and i'm confused as how to do that, i'll paste the guide and the comments, thanks.

guide: http://www.maxconsole.com/maxcon_fo...Downgrading-your-3DS-from-4-5-9-2-down-to-4-x

comments: EDIT 2: If you're using the EUR gateway.dg binary blob, you SHOULD format sysnand after you've successfully downgraded. This is due to an update nag that seems to appear. YES this would unlink your sysnand from your emunand, and you may find this rather bothersome, but it should get rid of the update nag.
EDIT 3: If you need help on how to separate your sysNand from your emunand, to avoid problems with your NNIND, or to get rid of the gift unwrapping problem, check out this tutorial!

You need to format only if you have the update nag after the downgrade or if you want to unlink you sysnand and your emunand

4) Now you are at a state that your sysnand and emunand share the same folder. You separate them by booting into sysnand, removing your SD card from 3ds and go to settings and format system memory. This will format your 3ds and erase anything (eshop games, NNID,etc,) but you already have them on emunand on the sd card. After formatting you will have to set up your 3ds again like if you run it for the first time. After setting it up again put your SD card back to your 3ds and let it configure on its own.
