Hacking Fix for Fossil Fighters: Champions for the M3G6 flash cart?

So, I'm asking this on behalf of someone else, but apparently this spesific game freezes on a screen or says "file could not be loaded please reinsert the cartridge and power off the system", I'm not sure, as I don't use flash carts, but is there a known workaround for fix for this game? Apparently it has something to do with save files, I'm not sure, but any info or aid would be much appreciated,

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

    Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
