The first batch of screenshots for the forthcoming Assassins Creed 3 have leaked online. The game isn’t meant to be officially unveiled until March 5th, but that hasn’t stopped All Games Beta from posting a batch of impressive screenshots online. Assassins Creed 3 is due to launch later this year on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.

Or full-quality renders that will never be achieved on anything but an extreme spec'd PC. Who knows.

I know the final one is (stylized to be?) a painting, not a screenshot.

I don't understand why they need another ancestor. Can't they make it primarily, if not, entirely in the present, so we can play as Desmond and finish off the series before it becomes stale?

Making games with historical figures being badasses and assassins is always awesome!
Assassins Creed has the ability to be in any era and not be stale, which allows for many many more games to be made

Assassins Creed III is not milking, it's what everyone has been waiting for, what everything has been leading up to. Are Brotherhood and Revelations milking? Perhaps.

This is apparently the last of the "yearly" AAA Assassins Creed titles. If they really wanted to milk it we wouldn't have to wait so long for the next title, be it AC4 or another side game.

Anyhoo, awesome shots, even if they do seem a bit 'shopped. Really looking forward to this game.

On the contrary, I think they should kill Desmond off from the very beginning, and let the rest of the series focus on the lives of historical figures he experiences while the life slips out of him. I would applaud them if they went that route.

The game looks better than I thought.

Hopefully it has useful features on the WiiU. Or the ability to use the Wii Remote. That would be worth it alone.

If it's a launch title, that might make me get a WiiU early.

Looks so cool! Totally getting hyped for this game, looks great. Hopefully on PC soon too, this shouldn't be PS3/360/(Wii U) exclusive at all.
