okay, so, i'm poor so i'm trying to install homebrew using the ocarina of time method. but for that, does anyone know if you NEED an action replay powersaves pro to use this method? sorry, this is probably a really bad place to put this in, but i am a very confused person who just wants to be gay with selena.

you need powersaves if you don't have any other way to access homebrew and ur on 10.7 so...yeah. u should just downgrade ur 3ds but i know people are still iffy about it but it's the best thing to do for hacking

No, but if your avatar is one of them, DON'T BOND. Your game will crash trying to load a Live2D model.
Also, note, that the Avatar that's closest to the top-left becomes the MC on next load.

i watched the video to install gay fates and when i put "yes" for the romfs and click "ok" my screen turns black with some white lines? I'm not really sure how to save the file from romfs builder ? and for the latest release for the patch there's more of the Japanese files than on the video so does that affect it? i'm pretty confused on that

I'm not an expert so take this with a grain of salt... but i think you don't need a powersaves if you use the browserhax method instead. I installed homebrew via browserhax and it was pretty easy and nothing bad happened.

EDIT: actually, ppl who know more about this than i do already replied to you, sorry hah a.... maybe browserhax doesn't work on 10.7.

also, is there a way to isolate what supports I want to install? (specifically, just jakobxflora and the amiibo supports tbh. I can't get dwyer because of the lack of wives as usual)

you mean support conversations? because she already has supports with other characters. i dont think you can like the hack comes with the complete package but what do i know

For now we're stuck. It's possible to add a Live2D model for them, or at least put something there so it doesn't crash, but exactly how I don't know. It very likely requires editing the file Live2D.bin.lz and i haven't quite figured out how it works yet.

I know we have

-- males appearing twice in the ending and females not appearing at all
-- cannot have children without editing the save file
-- cannot have same-sex awakening endings

Well, the thing about females not appearing was only reported by one person, they *did* appear for me. And in the most recent version of the patch I included an alternative method to get children which did not require hex editing. The live 2D is only a limit for now, I know it's fixable just not how the file works, but yeah we might be stuck with the same-sex awakening endings.

I'm kind of stuck at the part where you start the game up from Hans. I dont get the (nonvalid) notification, but whenever I start, the screen stays black. Can anyone help? I actually got it to work once, but after that nothing :/

okay, okay, one more thing. i'm on the very last step.

following the video tutorial for this hack, when i push 'okay' for like the very last step, text appears on the screen like everything's goin good before it gives me a pitch black screen with a few pixels in a line on the very left side.

When I get that, it means my romfs is faulty. Double check everything is correct.

Alright, I'm double checking my romfs.

Is it possible that something went wrong during the romfs extraction or building? I notice the romfs builder and extractor freeze occasionally, so I end up having to restart it.

EDIT: So it seems that Hans can't run the game even when using an unedited romf.... What could be wrong?
