No. It has only been two days since the last post. And translating is not an easy thing at all, when a problem occurs it gets very troublesome and frustrating and it can be hard not to just give up when it is so much easier to give up.

Currently we have nothing to do. So the project is currently either incomplete or inactive. It's not necessarily dead. We are releasing a 2.1 patch pretty soon. It contains some fixes in the old 2.0 Patch.

Hey aznanimefreak1 and Noitora....I really appreciate your work..just one short question..

I know that you didn't get permission to use that guys translated script for this Fire Emblem, but I was just wondering, did you decide to drop script translation totally, or you're just on hold at the moment, and you'll translate the scrip later..

Thanks!! Cheers, and keep it up..

We can't enter the script yet because there are limitations to how much text we can enter and the game's font is missing many english letters so the result will be rather bad and a loss of time.

Well either way if the guy lets us use the script or not. The script will always come out to the same exact thing. Its like 2 people doing the exact math problem such as 2+2=4. The final product will always be the same or something close. No matter how you put it, if you put makeup on a pig its still a pig. But honestly with all due respect were probably gonna use his translation or someone else's. And if absolutely no one lets us use their translation I guess we can just translate it from scratch. People forget that this game has already been released for ages during its old NES days. But that is not the main problem at hand currently. It is character limits on the text.

You have no idea how translation works.

Indeed, math is a terrible example.
It's not like 2+2 COULD be 4.
Or maybe 9.
Perhaps closer to 3.14?
The fans would prefer 2+2 being 17.
In the western world 2+2=4 doesn't make sense, we need to localize it so 2+2=5 and maybe it'll get the same effect.

Well, you get the point. Translated scripts may be similar, but there are good translations and bad translations...and sometimes outright wrong translations.
Odin Sphere is an example of a beautiful translation that actually surpasses the original script in some ways.

That said, I do appreciate the work people put into translation projects as it opens up new doors to things that people wouldn't normally have access to.
Should you not find anyone willing to give up a translation I hope you'll manage to translate the script on your own.

I have to agree with DN here. Language is not that cut and dried. It depends on the experience of the translator, and their knowledge and understanding of BOTH languages they're using.

Well, I don't know very much how translating actually goes, I do know it's hard, and very often there are limitations that restrict you from using as much characters as you want..But I do know that it would be shame if you guys don't do it all the way..I mean, I'm very grateful for everything you already did, but seeing how you guys can work like a team, and you're pretty fast about it, I'd like you to do the whole thing..

Think it trough, and whatever you decide to do, I'll respect it, and I'll forever be thankful for everything you already did!!
