For those of you who don't know, myself and two others are currently translating Final Fantasy IV DS (everything save the script). I'm using the newest R4 with kernel 1.14 and seem to experience freezes about once an hour. It happens randomly (battles, walking, cutscenes) and it never happens in the same place twice. It does this on both the original game and my patched translated version. Here's my setup...

    R4DS - Kernel 1.14 - Formatted FAT - 1GB Sandisk MicroSD

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem. Thanks in advance!

Well, I would personally try to defrag the card (by reformat, not defrag cycles). On my DS it played seamlessly straight through the game.

What? who told you that? Kingston (Japan) has much better game compatibility for DS Flashcarts. It doesn't lag with problem games like POR.

I thought the sandisk might at fault. My card isn't fragmented at all, so no need to defrag. I'll try to get a Japanese made Kingston soon though. I've been meaning to do it for a while.
