Anyway, aside from the altered combat system (which wouldn't make it a spin-off, seeing as other FFs had different combat systems, too) and it not having a number (XIII etc.) , why is this considered a spin-off?
I don't really see any differences from normal FFs - but then again, I haven't really looked up any info about this. :3

The auto targeting seems very interesting to me. I wonder what will happen with commands such as steal; Will
it just randomly target a mob or prioritize by level?

Gem grinding sounds like great times as well.

Since I never played the Japanese version, can anyone tell me how this game is? I plan on buying it soon.

It's kind of like Final Fantasy I mixed with III with a no MP battle system (think Arc Rise fantasia, if you've played that), auto-targeting and a cute artstyle!
Oh and Dark Langin, the game came out yesterday on America and it comes out on Friday on Europe.
