Scumbag Squeenix: Knows EVERYONE wanted and trolled the shit out of us for a FF VII remake.

Gives us X & X-2 featuring the most detestable protagonists in the history of the franchise.

It was much easier to port this than to remake FFVII from the ground up.

If this has a skip cutscene option I'll consider a second hand purchase. I'll never forgive that dreaded laughing scene. Not that the rest of the game's scenes are much better. . .

here is a SE UK trailer
full of spoilers if you have never played them so be careful if you watch this one

FFX was a good game
good battle system , that you need to use most if not all party member at some point

FFX-2 was not the best game
but the battle system was very nice

First few months of 2014 are looking OK for remade RPGs on PS3 then, with this and Tales of Symphonia Collection launching almost back to back.

Hopefully this time I'll find a use for Kimahri. On my original PS2 playthrough he was utterly worthless. Only ue I had for him was his weapon had No Encounters on it. He never actually saw battle aside from obligatory inclusions due to story reasons.

You know that laughing scene was supposed to be bad? Right? Like, on purpose.

and halfway through the video you lose interest when it shoves X-2 into your face.
Honestly, the best thing about FFX-2 was the dressphere and the battle system. It was really fun. Can't remember much about the game, I should go back to it.

They already said they won't be remaking FFVII until they make a FF game that's better than it. So in short... FFVII remake will never happen.

Did everyone really just magically forget how terrible and awful Final Fantasy X and X-2 are?

It's not like they're fixing ANYTHING that was broken about these games in the first place. You're still getting the same irritating Tidus chock full of daddy issues. You're still getting the same perma-stoned Yuna. You're still getting the improbably ridiculous Maester Seymour with equally ridiculous hair. You're still getting the kind of on-rails that Final Fantasy XIII brings in spades.

It's like Squeenix is intentionally trying to piss off their fanbase and get us to stop buying their games, while many of us are regrettably bound to at least TRY every game in the franchise until they finally either call it quits or manage to make one so irredeemably awful that it finally bankrupts them.

You know, I wondered why she acted so derpy, now I know :P Glad they stopped the Final Fantasy XIII Lightning bullshit, she was overrated and didn't really need spin off games for her. I doubt they will ever remake FFVII
