ROM Hack FEFTwiddler - Fire Emblem Fates Save Editor

Which can be done with this program, since it has it's own hexeditor...
Yeah, forgot about that. I, for some reason, thought that the character block was much bigger than what was shown in here. As such, I thought that you'd have to use a different hex editor for stuff like that. Ignore me. ^^'
 
Ty anyways kuno, i appreciate the effort xD and also, for anyone else struggling with the same problem, when you switch the parents around, as long as theyre FIRST GEN units, the stats will adjust accordingly to their modifiers. But, if you try to make Kana recognize a 2nd gen unit as its parent, regardless of who, Kana's stats dont seem to receive any modifier. Trying to figure out how I can fix that as I want my Charlotte!Velouria!KanaF master ninja to have insane STR, but stuck on 28 str :(
 
just tried that but no luck =/ (or maybe i'm doing something horribly wrong) and maybe KanaF's master ninja stats are supposed to be this crappy? although Azura!Kana has higher stats than this. sorry for being a hexnoob

yup, several times, and i've been comparing Azura!Kana to Charlotte!Velouria!Kana and the stat differences are +1 Skill, +3 Speed, -3Def, for Azura!Kana, which shouldnt be the case

This might be incredibly obvious and I'm just overlooking things because I'm a frickin newb, but.
Are the gender flags editable with this? ( And if they are -- which are the offsets? ) I was hoping to use this to simplify the process of hex editing that mess. Any help is super appreciated.

I'm 90% sure gender flags are within the gamedata.bin, which can only be edited through dumping the game. :/

Ah, darn. I was afraid of that. But, it is what it is! I'll start dumping now, and maybe it'll be done before dinner time. Hah.

Just use the version with all paralogues unlocked, the kids wont be recognized as siblings but a quick save edit to swap the parents position of one of them should fix that.

I would, but I'm using another hack that edits the GameData.bin, unfortunately.

Tried that too, but it just isn't changing the stat caps and giving me that +7 STR modifier. Really strange. Did it work for you? Maybe because somewhere in the hex, my KanaF is recognized as a 2nd gen unit (since it originally is) so i have to change that value too so it can be recognized as a 3rd gen? idk q-q

I'm highly certain there's no way to change modifiers via save-editing, only in the character's block in the GameData.bin along with the Growth Rates and etc. I have no idea how the game determines the stat modifiers in the save, most likely it's who's the parent. We would be seeing 8 bytes bunched up together like 00 06 04 FF 00 03 FD 04 in both 1st gen and 2nd gen if there was stat modifiers.

Edit: If your avatar had some bad boon/bane that also plays in effect. I do think those stats are average though. Also, changing the parent might not do anything as it might be stored in the Global. There's nothing that tells the game if it's 2nd gen or 3rd gen btw

I just test it again.
It works, you can't see the stat cap change in the editor through.
When you load the save file, Kanna's stat cap will change.
Here some Kannas.

Does anyone know how to change which characters that are considered the mother and father for 2nd gen units? I married Niles and Arthur together, but to get the game to recognize Percy and Nina as siblings, I have to make Niles the "mother" for both of them, and Arthur the "father". I read that someone in this thread did it, but when I tried to find the values to edit, I didn't see either Niles' or Arthur's character ID. I screenshotted Nina's block to see if someone could help me.

Its in the first post. Also, who was the mother character for Nina and Percy originally? I found the father value for Niles in your SS. Look at the RawEndBlock, its the first "20" you see. You can try changing that to 1D (Arthur's value) and see if it recognizes him as the father afterwards in their Support Log

Yup! That fixed it! Thank you so much!

EDIT: While the game now recognizes them as siblings, Nina doesn't have a support with Niles anymore. Almost like he's not her father. :/
