Well first, I had to make 2 brand new entries in FaceData.bin for Lissa's FID, had to move around the entire pointers table, and then make the 2 new FSID blocks (_bu and _st) for Lissa while adding the necessary pointers to the now moved table.

Then in ROM3 I had to move the entire Pointers table, make a new AID for Lissa and add new pointers to the pointers table for Lissa's AID.

Then, in GameData, I had to move the entire pointers table, repoint at least 4 different Attack Stance bonus blocks and about 4 Defense Stance bonuses blocks, then add Lissa's block over this free space, then calculate where her PID label was relative to where the pointers table ends, add 1 to the byte at 0xC and 0x30 I think, add the necessary pointers to her new block, and then I had her join via the castle_join file.

And even then, her voice wouldn't work (and never will unless the bcsar is rebuilt completely since they use standalone bcsar files and the base game doesn't read those unless from DLC) and I had a few mistakes in the FaceData blocks.

In short, a massive amount of effort that in the end didn't yield a fully working character.

For DLC you only need to make a separate file with a single character block which is easy to make, you can use already existing mini FaceData files (like the one from Before Awakening), plus standalone bcsars work which is why they have voices.

The modding? Or running the dlc? As for the modding I don't believe there is a Mac or chromebook version of makerom. But you can download and install the dlc regardless of your computer.

Do you have a 3DS with custom firmware? You can download the DLC regardless of the computer and put it on your 3DS's SD card and install it with FBI if you have custom firmware. If you don't have a 3DS with custom firmware, you're out of luck and you can't use the DLC.

I have an even better idea.

Just use the latest version of FBI, which supports QR code install, and scan the QR Code for the version you want.

For now they're here, I'll edit the main post soon to include them.

Run the DLC entry in Dragon's Gate. It will take a while to install for the first time (1-2 minutes) but messages will eventually pops up saying "New units have joined your team" or something similar.
