hi
i recently purchased a ds lite second hand. when i got it the lower screen had dark areas (kind of smudge like/ ink splashes) on the left hand lower portion of the screen. the appear to be on the lcd itself. it doesnt affect the game play and you can still see the full picture just slightly darker in places.

my question is this, is this a fault that can be fixed by replacing the lcd screen? is this hard to do? and any idea how this might have happened (the seller claims it happened during posting but the ds was really well secured in a protective box inside a cardboard box with packaging etc.....)

thanks in advance

I'm happy just having all of them.

But may end up selling my series x games, if they're worth anything at all by now.

It would be sexy if Xbox and Sony just collab Ed on a console st this point since basically everything is cross platform

Yea series X can play 4 gen , OG xbox, X360, XOne, Series games, and w dev mod can play any older retro games up to gamecube, wii, ps2. Don't think PS5 can even play PS3 yet.

I don't trust them... They would make something purely digital
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
That's the reason why I won't sell the series X, it runs 360 games really well (and upscalled)

No real need to care about ps3 on ps5 if you own a pc

    Shame Magna Carta isn't supported.

I don't know what you think about games and developers, but Carmack will always be the best developer.

Simply because he figured out how to bypass the limitations of weak hardware using existing developments from other computer tasks and make productive games using only crutches.

@Skelletonike, And fps boost. Nice playing x360 games in 60fps, esp shooters.

Least switch 2 will be a emulation beast once cracked into

Mostly play jrpgs I own from the 360 tbh, don't have many shooters aside RE5
  • lapot2 @ lapot2:
and he pushed the development of games and hardware for them in the direction that we all know it now

(my 360 is the RE5 LE, sexy red)

@K3Nv3, Yea but 1.71 tflops and only 12gb ram, will be basically a steamdeck powerwise.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
SteamDeck was a og switch valve planned for
  • lapot2 @ lapot2:
By the way, what is John Carmack doing now?
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Let me get him on the phone and ask
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Surprised steamdeck 2 not out by now, are they working on one?
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
They'll probably wait a couple years after switch 2

SteamDeck is still useful for optimization on a good amount of steam library much like how the series s optimizes games

We need better battery tech to catch up to CPU/GPU power...3 hours ain't enough.

I read the black book of doom and all the others about their history and the technologies they used at the time.It gave me such a huge boost that I quit my job and started developing my own devices.
