Yes, but this is essentially unrelated to that. You said the magic word, "documentation". Again, anyones who have the proper hardware can make CFW with card's multirom support.

If I'm reading this correctly, this documentation is a starting point that would allow CFW devs like @Aurora Wright, to implement Gateway red cart support to her CFW?You said the magic word, "documentation". Again, anyones who have the proper hardware can make CFW with card's multirom support.
Hmm, if it works as advertised, this will be a gateway killer at half the price!
I've heard nothing bad about EZ Flash since the GBA days, glad to see they've made a comeback.
Meh. Halfway the same thing. We have a free gateway killer called A9LH + Luma...
Thank you for chiming in on this Miss. It's even more work than I'd thought.Knowing the cart protocol is just a small part, you need to write an arm9 thread to be running to communicate with the cart, add hooks in Process9 for the gamecart ROM reading/savegame reading+writing, have an arm11 module running to have a menu to interact with the arm9 code to choose the game and stuff like that.
Like, all of them.like?
Fine fine, semantics. We have a free gateway killer called A9LH + Luma...

The "Gateway killer" flashcart.
As weird as it may seem, some people actually gravitate to .3ds/3dz files.
3ds,nds or gba?Thank you for chiming in on this Miss. It's even more work than I'd thought.
Since the CFW side of things (Gateway Mode) hasn't been RE'd by anyone (not since 4.x to my knowledge anyhow), we'd essentially be starting from scratch.
Like, all of them.
"All" is an absolute, which part are you struggling with?
All of them
sweet. cant wait to play psx isos full speed. and ive been waiting for a good way to play n64 on the go.Like, all of them.

it's way more complicated than you may think. i have a ds2+, i reversed Supercard's CFW. doing the init the exact same way as they do, no success getting my ds2+ to init properly (wrong spi reply); however it works on a gw red card for some reason. You said the magic word, "documentation". Again, anyones who have the proper hardware can make CFW with card's multirom support.
no documentation available, but shinyquagsire did a small lib for r/w raw sectors on a gw red cart, initializing it etc.If I'm reading this correctly, this documentation is a starting point that would allow CFW devs like @Aurora Wright, to implement Gateway red cart support to her CFW?
I know this had already been achieved years ago with in private pre-rxTools custom firmwares.
I would love to never have to boot into Gateway Mode again. But, I guess it's way too much work to benefit a (comparatively) very small group of people sadly.

saying that is pretty untrue btwSince the CFW side of things (Gateway Mode) hasn't been RE'd by anyone (not since 4.x to my knowledge anyhow), we'd essentially be starting from scratch.
Thanks for providing additional information. Now, at the risk of veering further of topic...saying that is pretty untrue btw
