So I purchased the EZ Flash Omega from Ali Express because there's no official retailer anywhere near here, and after two or three weeks, it finally arrived. I updated it, played with it for about two hours, during which it turned my GBA SP AGS-001 about three or four times. After the fourth time, it wouldn't turn on with the EZ Flash anymore. Every time I try turning it on with the EZ Flash, it either turns off right away (less than a second after turning the power on), or waits until the EZ Flash logo ends, and then turns off. I tried it with several other games, and it works fine.

I tried moving the board, I tried removing the SD card, reformatting the SD card, and I have no idea what to do. Sending it back or ordering a new one will take another few weeks, so if possible, I'd rather try to find a fix

Maybe it is caused by the aging of the battery? I don't know much about the battery situation of your AGS001, if the battery is too old, it may lead to insufficient output current.

EZ-FLASH OMEGA requires a relatively high start-up current, and the situation you describe is more in line with an old battery that doesn't output enough current to even get the console started after 1-2 hours of play.

Normal game cards require less startup current than EZ-FLASH OMEGA, so even if this battery can't start EZ-FLASH OEMGA, you can still start other game cards normally.

Have you ever tried to play with the power plugged in?

Okay, sorry for the late reply. I was using a friend's GBA SP until a non-SP one I ordered, with AA batteries, gets here. I tested it, and it works. Seems like it was the battery. Thanks for the reply!
