I just got a new external HDD (WD Elements Portable 2TB) and it works fine on my computer. So I used WiiBackupManager (64Bit) to copy Mario Party 9 on it, but if I connect my HDD to the WiiU (I use the upper behind USB slot) it just makes click sounds? What could be wrong?

Are you sure it works on the pc?
Because clicking sound usually indicated that the head of the HDD is malfunctioning AS FAR AS I KNOW.

Wii U for some reason cannot deliver the full 500 mA as required for USB 2.0 certification. Click sound when attached to Wii U is usually lack of power.
