Hacking Hardware Need y cable for portable hdd

Hey I just buy a portable hdd WD Elements 2To for my Wii u and I read that I need an cable who split in 2 cable for power and data
I found one cable who looks good to me but I prefer advice :

Is this okay or I can just use the cable who comes with my portable hdd ?

Is the cable from your hdd an y cable? If yes, you can use it. If not, then no.

I guess the next one you can find on ebay is good enough. I bought a 3.0 iirc and it works fine until today.
