What do you think about this idea?

This is actually really cool. I think a particularly great idea though would be a 4 player game, 2 playing as characters with pro controllers, and 2 controlling the items with Upads. one player and one "item dropper" will be on a team, and while the main player fighters, the "item dropper" could aim the Upad at the screen, and drop from a random assorted set of items near the player on their team

That would be awesome. Except if "friendly fire" is on, some can be a jerk and turn on people during battles.

wow, even votes on 2013/2014 release dates.
I voted 2013 over 2014 because I imagine Nintendo will want to push this game sooner than later because they know we all really want it.
Plus they've got all those Namco guys helping out with it.

Maybe that's just wishful thinking though.

Namco... worked with Nintendo in Star Fox Assault (which IMO, is the best in the series and is known for its great multiplayer) so people have mixed feelings about it..

I thought I was the only person in the world who liked this game. Of all the Star Fox games I've played (SNES, 64, Assault, and Command), Assault was my favorite, for sure!

Mine too. I loved assault so much. What if they added DLC characters on this game to give us all the other characters from franchises that aren't showcased at the start? I know they would be clones but it be cool to choose which starfox character, out of all of them, that I want to play as. Endless character choice would be awesome

Lol. I dont think it would be any worse than the anime, personally. I mean, For Pikachu and Mario and the rest of the "cartoony" characters, they could just show the anime "ashes" styled bruises on them. And they could get creative for damage in other ways too. Like, if Link gets hit critically, he flashes red like in the games.
