I was previously getting error #002 on a lot of newer titles and i fixed it but now i get error #001 "unauthorized device detected" for all of these titles. Anybody know how i can solve this issue?
i have a soft modded wii, and my Cios is either version 13a or b (im not quite certain). I haven't updated it in a very long time, maybe thats part of the problem...

If you have 13a, you will have fixed 002 for all games, if it's 13b, you will get 002 related problems. Where do you get 001 error? In some "newer" title since Wii Sports Resort? If yes, you need to change your cIOS. Rev7, 14 and 17+ have a proper solution for 001 error(and for 002 as well == leave it to the loader).

Extract zip file, rename cIOS38_rev17-Installer.dol to boot.dol, copy dol to a folder in your apps folder on your SD card (SD:\\apps\whatever\boot.dol), boot it through bannerbomb or the homebrew channel, choose ios 249 when it prompts, online installation and let it do its thing.
