Only happened to me once. I think I was in 4th grade, maybe 5th. I was in music class, playing the clarinet. I wasn’t following the teacher. It wasn’t the first time. Since it’s a music instrument, I was experimenting with the sounds and blowing in the reed as if I were rolling my Rs (which I still can’t). The teacher has had enough and I got kicked. Music is all about experimenting and having fun, I thought. :)

IDK if this counts as "getting kicked out of class" as much as "getting kicked out of the whole school," but due to my Asperger's and both my parents' and my not really knowing how to deal with it in first grade, the witch of a teacher along with the asshole of a principal kicked me and my parents to the curb, metaphorically speaking. The teacher, in a parent-teacher meeting, not knowing and not wanting to take on the challenges associated with dealing with someone like myself, asked stuff like if I was "saved" (translation for those who've had the fortune of not growing up in a fundamentalist Baptist household: saying a prayer admitting that you're a sinner, and that you want Jesus to forgive you of your original sin and every sin you've committed up until the prayer was made) as if it had something to do with my behavior.

And then the principal was just an asshole, straight up. LIke, he treated my older brothers who attended the school (and most of whom still go to the churches that these schools were based out of to this day in spite of this and other things that's happened or occurred with this conglomeration of churches in particular) like they were nuisances. Eventually, he just booted me out, and my parents then found a public school where, according to pastors in the IFB, your children will become "God-hating atheists, believers in evolution, alcohol and drug addicts," and whatever else they can do to paint those outside of their church conglomeration's in-group as being a part of an out-group that isn't as evil as they make them out to be.

The ironic part of the church that kicked me out is that now, the school's staffed mostly by relatives of those who are still supporting the operation; like, think in-laws, students who just graduated the school and are taking up teaching positions (some who are responsible for more than just one task, btw), all for either below minimum wage or even less, depending on what the pastor feels like paying everyone. If that's not a sign that says "writing is on the wall," I don't know what is!

Had allergies.

I couldn’t stop sneezing. This is about second grade or so, so I was fairly young at the time. For the life of me, I couldn’t stop sneezing—nothing could stop it. I must have been having allergies or hay fever or just a bad reaction to something, but the teacher didn’t care. She told me to stop interrupting the class, and when I did nothing but sneeze again, she got super angry, told me off for interrupting her, and sent me to sit outside the room and wait to discuss a detention after class.

Being a really nerdy kid, and one who never got in trouble, I thought a detention was going to be the end of my life, and I’d become some school delinquent. So I was sitting outside the classroom crying in between my little allergy attack. Another teacher came up to me and asked what was going on, and ended up walking me to the nurse and saying my teacher must have thought I was faking the sneezing to interrupt class. Either way, I got to go home early and had the rest of the day’s work excused, so it all worked out, but I was afraid of my teacher for the rest of the year, over getting so irate about something as simple as a student having allergy troubles.

Just read on Wikihow about heart surgeries... and then it came to my mind this situation.

Back in 2010 when my heart condition became very noticeable, my teachers would just kick me out of class when they saw me pale (or spitting blood)

Fucking assholes! :grog:

Yes, that has got to be, the dumbest, literally, the dumbest reason why I got kicked out of classes.

i often nosebled (still nosebleed nowadays, but to a much lesser extent) and i'd often have to leave to the bathroom to put toiletpaper in to stop the bleeding, i didnt (still dont like) the feel of it, so i snorted a lot when i felt like i was going to nosebleed, besides some problems snorting has caused me, there was this one art teacher who was pregnant, i was in line to hand in whatever she told us to draw, the line was pretty long, and when i was third or so, i started nosebleeding, and snorting to avoid having to leave, the teacher told me to stop, i snort again, then she screams "I SAID STOP IT", and i stop it, so a bunch of blood falls out, they just sent me to the principal's office (we didnt have a nurse, i've only seen school nurses in movies and anime) to put some peroxide because the bleeding was more than the usual, dont know if it counts as getting kicked out because by the time the principal's secretary stopped the bleeding, we went back to normal class

Not kicked out but got a writeup for hiding under a table in 4th grade :P

The worst I did to get the former "punishment", I think, was to talk loudly or something... don't really remember anymore

On the other hand I always had lunch at home in elementary school, and when a teacher asked me why, I said some BS like "we can't afford school lunches" and almost got my mom in trouble, lol

Do you have the thing that makes people bleed with heat?
How is it called? Hemophillia? Or something like that?

I never found out why, its hot often here but i also nosebled on extremely cold days and did not nosebleed every hot day. Hemophilia iirc was blood not being able to coagulate. My theory is that the skin inside my nostrils is thin enough a dry booger can perforate it.

I think I have the same thing too.

My cousin has Hemophilia which caused him to nosebleed with hot temperatures.

I have Sinusitis and breathing becomes nearly impossible in hot days. Literally my nose burns and causes me pain with heat/dry environments.

We just have bad luck LOL.

Holy shit stop copying me dude!
I do the same!

It's going to sound very stupid the following, but I kind of learned to control my body temperature through breathing.

during the 2018 world cup i did not want to watch the matches (i just don't like Soccer) so i asked if i could read a book (i actually wanted to play videogames on my 3ds, but of course they would not let me do that if i outright stated it) still, they said no, i just sat on the back of the room and played with my 3ds anyway, on all matches (i think they were like 3, i asked my mom just now and she said she doesnt remember the exact number, but the team played way worse than usual because Suarez was suspended) we actually saw (they did not project all the matches, only the ones where Uruguay played) i never got caught. I dont know why they didnt project all matches though, they said they did not want to miss classes, but most students would just watch them on their phones, even some teachers.

Dumb on my part or the teachers part?
I've been kicked out too many times (15year old me was a rebel I guess).

These are the most memorable ones though:

- Kicked out for fighting with a classmate and got a disciplinary note and detention (it was his fault, so he had the same fate I did)
- Kicked out? Well... More like I got the whole class out by throwing stink bombs in our usual classrooms. We didn't have class, but someone ratted me out and I had to clean toilets (yes, it's a real thing).
- Same teacher as above, the teacher hated me, she insulted me and called me retarded (even though I had good grades, she hated me for being different) all year long. One of her famous quotes was "Having you in class and a rock would be the exact same thing", so during one of the last days of school, I went and placed a big rock in my seat before ditching her class for good (it was pretty heavy and hard to carry while hiding it, but I managed). A few years later at a class reunion I found out that on that day a TV station had gone to check our school and they recorded ou classroom. My boulder was apparently the focus of the cameraman.

I was generally a good student and was always polite. That one teacher mentioned above though, was trash and should have never been a professor.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

It does that when I edit a post.

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
