Can I update my DSi XL system to the newest firmware (for the DSi shop etc.)?
You could have done that along time ago. Supercard DSonei was fixed to work on 1.4.1 like a few weeks after it's release
Mines the DSTW2in1

That'll be fine too?

I updated and added the new 1.10 eos and it was working fine, but then tried the GBA emulator when I read that post and now my DSTWO doesn't show up at all in the DSi, I'm going to wait like 5 mins and see if it shows up....
After 5 mins it came back. I tried the SNES emulator and it still showed up after rebooting, but it still goes away when I run the GBA emulator... I guess I will reformat and try to see if that helps

edit: I probably should mention that I have BAGSFC, idk if that matters

Thanks Irock23
Looks like its not just me, and its NOT a contact issue, something is locking up the SoC chip or something and it needs a couple of minutes to clear it self...
can you try something for me? when it wont show up on DSi can you stick it in a Lite/Phat? when I did that and powered up it wouldnt boot up to the HEALTH WARNING SCREEN properly...

How do we let the SC team know about this issue?
Where can I get the OLD boot loader v1.05? to downgrade and test?

I don't have a DS Lite/Phat, my sister has a ds lite but the power switch isn't working, so I can't test that right now...

Yes, the DSTWO has been fixed a while ago, It was fixed by replacing system1.dat with a new one. It is in the latest EOS, so if you have EOS 1.09 already then it already works on the newest DSi firmware, Just get the new EOS 1.10 and firmware 1.08 then update it.

Ok guys, i think i know is causing this mess. I believe if you do not exit out of your GBA or SNES Emulators through the exit menu . It freezes the OS. So when you are playing one of these emus don't just hit the power button.

I have been tinkering with this since i seen the forum.

Umm.... why did the supercard team release this update before the 3DS even came out? Wouldn't it have made more sense to wait until after it's release? What if nintendo finds out about it and patches the 3DS (so the card won't work) before they release it?

Because the 3DS totally isn't already out in Japan?

And because Nintendo totally cares about their outdated medium?

You can add to me to the list of people who are having their carts disappear in the DSi menu.
I'd avoid updating for now if you don't have a 3DS.

Yes, one more to this list. My Alex Rider icon just disappears after playing with DS2x86 emulator. After some minutes it comes back.

I would recommend people just not install the firmware v1.08 or the EOS v1.10. It is either one of these or a combination of both that has been causing people some grief. I know for sure that in the thread on the supercard forum, that godslash states that the firmware v1.08 is ONLY for the N3ds.

Quick question. I updated my SCDS2 and now it shows up as "dstwo/ www.supercard.sc". This is on my ds phat though, I keep seeing people talk about alex rider, is that only for the DSi and 3DS?

i don't understand what makes you think the american/european 3DS's aren't already packaged and ready to be shipped.
you're acting like they're still in Nintendo AP HQ discussing which measurements of AP they will include in the U/E 3DS models, when the release date is in a couple of weeks.
even when the 3DS does come out here, all it's gonna take is a firmware update to block flash carts again.

Never had any problems with my update to firmware v1.08 using the EOS v1.10.

Seem like it.

edit: It not like there is a reason for it have a trick header for the ds phat/lite.

Weird. At first, on my Mario Red XL FW 1.4.1, the DSTWO was running fine. I played the new Yugioh, Pokemon White (U), and Black (E) no issues. I tested out the new CATSFC and played Earthbound for a bit and it was still fine. Then I went and played MOTHER 3 and I hit reset, and the DSTWO DID in fact, disappear from the menu.

I waited for a minute, with the menu on, popping the cart in and out and it wouldn't show. I started typing this post and now I tested it again and good ol' Alex Rider is back again.

I can now confirm it DOES do something funky after the update, but at least it is working again.

The answer is Yes - On the DSi (XL) you have Alex Rider & on the DSLite/phat it's just dstwo/www.supercard.sc

I mean it disappears I think at random, idk what causing it. :/

"We found there is a reset bug in v1.08 Fireware of DSTWO. Somethings the cart cannot be recognized after resetting.

We are addressing this issue, we thought that may be because the amount of data is very large when 3DS boots, but the time spent for reset is too short, CPU is not been initialized. We are modifying the booting code now, we will release a new version A few days later.

Btw, please make sure to upgrade DSTWO fireware on the DS console, never on a 3DS console."

-Godslash.

That are good news, slayerdx. I'll put the source of your last post in mine - it can be found here.
By the way: Why does Team SC always talk about "Fireware" instead of regular term Firmware!? Everytime I read Fireware I think: Uuhh, that sounds so bad!
