Sega Master System emulator for Nintendo DS







Talented homebrew author Alekmaul has released a new version of his Sega Master System emulator, DSMasterPlus, today. v1.1 includes a lot of new updates, which are:

• Addition of L and R in the list of selection to pass + 14 plays
  
• Addition of B to leave a repertory
  
• Addition of the repertories in the list of selection (DSMasterPlus seeks starting from the root of the linker)
  
• Support of the files GG which are carried out in mode SMS (ex: Castle of illusion)
  
• Color different in the list from seleciton for files GG and SMS
  
• Choice placed on Execution after selection of a play
  
• English/French Switch according to the country of the DS
  
• Beginning of addition of the mapper CodeMaster and the mapper Korean
  
• Addition of the mode of compatibility TMS
  
• A little faster (if if…) because the CPU is now controlled out of assembler by DRZ80: )
  
• MORE SAVE STATS, I will try for the NEXT VERSION
  
• Translation of the German interface (thank you Payk!)
  
• Addition of the sending of the compatibility of a play via WIFI

That sounds like an excellent ds emu idea, if it would work properly that is

Excellent news, the DS seems to be really taking off as an emulation machine now.

This is going to be an awesome emu if Alekmaul can get it running full speed. It's already quite playable for some games, but it's far from smooth.

I tested R-Type, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, and Wonder Boy in Monster World for the Master System, and Sonic 2 for the Game Gear, and they all played. R-Type was too slow. Wonder Boy in Monster Land is fully playable, but the scrolling is choppy. The other two I didn't play long enough to judge the performance.
