Okay, so I know that you can't do a data transfer from 3DS to DSi, but I plan on buying a DSi on Monday and I'd like to put some of the DSiWare on the DSi. Is there a way I can put some DSiWare on my SD card, and then place the SD in my computer, switch some stuff up, and get it running on DSi? Or will I have to buy it again? I would just buy it again and not worry, but my sister is young, and I might give this her, but when she got my old DS Lite, within the first week she washed it "because the buttons were sticky" and broke the charger port.

You'll have to buy it again. You can't simply copy and paste DSiWare from one system to another - Nintendo encrypts them on a per-console basis to prevent piracy.
