Gaming Dsi xl downgrading

Hey guys, I'm new here and i wanna know if downgrading the dsi xl is still working, and if so, i need some help cuz im just a school student with little experience concerning such things

I would really appreciate any and all help

It's still kinda risky with a few random bricks from people who followed the instructions and even validated their rebuilt nand with an emulator. downgrading involves dumping the nand, then modifying it on a pc with older versions of files and crossing your fingers when you flash it back hoping you didn't just brick.

if you don't have a lot of experience, i'd get a cheap flashcard for ds homebrew and wait, I've modded a lot of my systems but I've held off on modding my dsi since it's still sketchy.

Ive checked some sites and buying a flashcart isnt an option since im in lebanon so im gonna try the downgrading

I'm gonna ask a question that's pretty dumb, but please try to answer me, how do you connect the nand to the pc in the first place?

Is it through the game u copy through the sd card or is there another way?

https://dsiguide.me/ will explain most of your questions, keep in mind if you don't have the exploited dsiware (which you don't) then you need flipnote studio dsi installed, if you don't have it already you can't get it now due to the eshop no longer being accessible.

I actually do have the app installed but my dsi xl is not a usa region console. Will the downgrading still work?

I've downloaded all the needed apps and files. All that's left is the actual work. So i wanna make sure everything will work out before i start

No, ugopwn is only USA for now.

Unless you have the skills to hard mod, no downgrading for you until ugopwn works outside the US. Or, you could buy a US DSi for hacking purposes.
