Gaming DSi Volume/Brightness Issue

Hello everyone, i got pair of Nintendo DSi handhelds. Weird issue with one of those is even though volume buttons work and volume icon is changing, actual volume is always set to single value and is never changing. This applies to brightness as well. Initially console was running 1.4.3 firmware and i managed to upgrade it to 1.4.5 but no changes. I also did Unlaunched + Twilight Menu + Hiya just to see what is going to happen and all games are running but in regards to issue i have that also didn't help.

Try reading the posts at the bottom of the thread "DSi screen fades/flickers - What does it mean?" maybe you can solve the brightness issue.
It's just a suggestion, maybe it has nothing to do with it.

I just got mine back from a guy who replaced the digitizer, and it came back with these issues. I opened it up and took a look and he did a pretty shotty job. idk what is causing the issue though
