it's less likely but there is a possiblility that you'll be able to get dsi mode with old flashcards.

Would this actually be possible? How so?

No, it would not. smf seems misinformed. Having the common key would help this in no way.

It is possible, if you can use the common key to disassemble the firmware & find an exploit that can be used.

First off, they key won't disassemble anything, it'll decrypt it. Then you could disassemble it. But it still doesn't directly allow DSi mode on any flash card.

I'm not convinced of the speculation about wintermutes cooking mama hack being used for the ievo, the last I heard he wasn't either.

Hence its speculation.

Well, all I want to do is this.
lolwtf That isn't possible. Not now, not tomorrow, never.
I feel so bad now, just sold my DSi

But, ah well.
Maybe not today, ever know tomorrow, ey?

I don't think so. The DSi uses other hardware than a DS (Lite), even another WiFi chip with backwards compatibility on the DSi.
If it wasn't, we had already WPA(2) functions on a normal DS.
So, unless someone modifies it for over 9000%, it isn't possible.
EDIT: ... and photo's still aren't decrypt-able (4 editing in MS paint :') you know), shit.
EDIT2: Someone has an explanation why it is only a 16Bytes BIN file? :') Because of 42 i think lol.

This post shows just that. But, I want to try other titles, like Trajectile and Arcade Bowling, seeing as the browser requires RAM.

Anyone made a new database for NUSD including DSi titles yet?

EDIT: Oh, after a quick look at the database format it looks like an update to the program would be necessary to facilitate an updated database.

Is it automatically decrypted? DSLazy doesn't seems to unpack it good... (Just creates an ARM9.bin, thats just filling with 0's)
EDIT: fixed it, with NUSD 1.3

I really want to try stuff out but:

Use NUSD 1.3 from FileTrip, select Wii (not DSi, and rename your dsikey.bin to key.bin), and "Decrypt"
Use this list, http://dsibrew.org/wiki/Title_list#System ; and in this order Example: title ID: 00030004484e4750 (00030004 is the type, 484e4750 is the title ID, just put it in right after it). Version is just the version that is listed (for example 768). Do not leave empty.

OR just use 1.5, select DSi and "Decrypt" , leave the key as dsikey.bin and enter the title and version. You should get a .app

Hmm can't use Decrypt with DSi Selected but It works with wii ^^

EDIT: LOL if you change .app to .NDS you'll be able to open it with DSbuff

I can select Decrypt with DSi selected no problem at all. On the latest version, 1.5, straight from WiiBrew. Just have dsikey.bin in the same directory and it works perfectly.

Uhhhh.... no decrypt here at all (1.5B, but works on 1.3&1.2).
*looks in documentation*
Nope, it isn't there. dsikey.bin is also wrong, because it checks filenames, and dsikey is not listed in the source.
Only dskey.bin, kkey.bin, key.bin and wiikey.bin. No dsikey.bin, and no decrypt function (You can download the files anyway, but it doesnt decrypt to .app, but just a encrypted file). Are you sure you have APP files you can unpack with DSLazy?

Expected... Now all we have to do is run it through a DSi Mode cart (iEVO), if it works we'll hopefully an exploit could be discovered
I have a hunch that a buffer overflow could happen when we return to the DSi menu when this is run on a DSi Mode cart.

Disclaimer: This is just a baseless guess, a hunch, a feeling.

Yes. Well, I unpacked them with ndstool, but the same idea. I think its 1.5a, from WiiBrew. It is DEFINITELY dsikey.bin I am using.

And yes for:
DS Download Play
PictoChat
lol, even when you tap back: "Return to DSi Menu?"
tongue.gif
What happens when you press Return to DSi Menu? Does it crash, return to the menu or what? And those two run in DS mode I think, it looks like it boots into the DS mode firmware, you know, the Clock?
