This is a continuation of my Flash carts not working but games do thread. I am assume the problem I am having is that one of the pins/golden teeth is bent and not forming a connetion with my R4 or Acekard but works fine on normal games because they have the pin guides or whatever they are called. Now I am wonder what would be the best course of action for fixing/bending the pin back into place. I'm hesitant about just digging around inside incase I bend another pin or break one. If anyone has some advice it would be greatly appreciated

This is a late reply, but I felt I would write what happened in case someone else does a search on a similar topic.

The pin was bent down slightly and to the side. I use a pair of needlenose teezers and used one end to lift the pin up a few time to get it into place. After I did that I tried my Acekard 2i and it worked perfectly. So if something similar happens for you I would suggest trying to use something long and thin like a long needle or something similar to try lift/adjust the pin before you resort to full out DS surgery.

P.S. Thanks for the advice Daku93

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
