these all dont have random battles?
Agreed, in the olden days it was because of technical limitations, but now designers get away with it because it's what we're used to... sort of like how there's no actual technical limitation preventing one country's DVDs/PS2/whatever games from playing on another country's system, they're just getting away with the lockout because people are traditionally used to it.jerbz said:i just really dont like the idea of random battles anymore,it just really seems outdated because of what games are like now.
Also agreed, for the most part. Some games actually benefit from it and wouldn't feel quite right without them, such as Nostalgia and FFIV(rate's too high on this one).Rydian said:Agreed, in the olden days it was because of technical limitations, but now designers get away with it because it's what we're used to... sort of like how there's no actual technical limitation preventing one country's DVDs/PS2/whatever games from playing on another country's system, they're just getting away with the lockout because people are traditionally used to it.jerbz said:i just really dont like the idea of random battles anymore,it just really seems outdated because of what games are like now.
