Hacking DS games using gateway

Now that I am waiting on my gateway to be shipped, I wanted to ask something about it. I searched and did not actually find much about using the gateway to play DS games. I know that you have to go to gateway mode and do some stuff to load a 3DS game. The question I have is this: Can I use the gateway to play DS games and the 3DS games simultaneously? Like using one card to play the DS games and the other to play the 3DS game that I have loaded on the SD.

I believe the Blue card can play NDS roms, but not the red one.

And you're exactly right. The blue cart can recognize and run GBA games if you have an EZ Flash 3 in 1 or an M3 Expansion Pack in a Nintendo DS Lite.

Basically I come back to the old question I asked before, I planning on using 3DS to play DS games pretty heavily, should I buy another card for DS games or the blue card from gateway is enough?

I'd go for a DSTwo.
Best card there is + you got a GBA Emulator/SNES emulator and other neat homebrew pieces.
But if you don't care/ am willing to patch games and wait for updates to the blue GW card then I'd say go with the blue GW one ;]

If your going to play DS games heavily along with the gateway, then your going to have to do the gateway exploit every time you wanna play 3ds games, JS

Just tell me this: I am out, I don't have access to PC, can I play DS games and 3DS games?

If you enter DS Mode (playing DS Games or any ds flashcart on the 3ds), you have to redo the gateway exploit from step 1:

Press [A] to Install
Press to Exit

Programming..................................................
Verifying..........................................................


Enjoy Gateway!

You will have to do this Every time if you ever enter DS Mode.

If you do not plan on playing DS games in your 3DS, then you can just go to System Settings ---> Other Settings ----> Profile ------> DS Profile and then your done.

The blue gateway is just a cheap R4 clone so its not the best but its average i guess. Heres a guide that will help you decide if you want another DS flashcart not from gateway that will fill your needs.

For good reason. They offer SNES and GBA Emulation, Better video playing, Automatic AP Patch so you dont have to do it manually, and most importantly, better reliability. Every flashcard besides the DSTwo have needed revisions (meaning you have to buy the new model when the old one will no longer work). The DSTwo is the only one on the market that still doesnt require you to buy a new model after a period of time, just update the firmware.

1) The DSTwo is made with completely different hardware from the other cards (which is why its the best) and its damn hard not to get a legit one. Ive never seen a DSTwo clone. Heres a list by country for supercard resellers (click the country closest to you, or where you buy from frequently and it will show a list). http://eng.supercard.sc/map

2) R4 and R4i's are cheap and easy to make, thats why there are so many of them. Some are real and some are fake pieces of dog shit that isnt fit to wipe a dog's ass. Clones of these pop up like Different HIV strands, hard to get rid of, and they dont have a dedicated team in case you wanna upgrade it. The only good R4 is R4i Gold 3DS sold by this team http://r4ids.cn/. IMHO every one else is shit. Oh and stay as far as you can from R4i-SDHC, they have shit compatibility and always need a new revision like clock work.

Let's say I go with a DSTwo, and a Gateway. Can the Gateway program on the Blue GW cartridge be loaded with the DSTwo?
