Hacking Donkey Kong County 2 saving issues

Yeterday in the mail, I just got the 3 in 1 to use with my R4.

I downloaded Roudolphs patch and GBATA

I put a few games (12) on my R4 and they seem to save and play fine.

But when I go to play this game and save, it says save failed.

and I patched all my games with GBATA< although I think the SRAM button was greyed out on this game.

Sorry for being so vauge, but what exactly am I doing wrong?

I heard there was a diffrent program to use as well
