I've heard that the CPU in the card itself take a lot of battery power, even in sleep mode. If I don't have the "Alex Rider" app opened and play some games I've downloaded to the 3DS itself, will it be draining battery power?
Yes. It draws power if it is inserted and the system is turned on.I've heard that the CPU in the card itself take a lot of battery power, even in sleep mode. If I don't have the "Alex Rider" app opened and play some games I've downloaded to the 3DS itself, will it be draining battery power?
I recommend doubling your battery life with an extended battery. I own 2 3DS's with the Nyko PowerPak (it's so awesome!) since launch.
The price has been reduced from $9.99 to $6.97 - and it's so worth it! All you do is unscrew your back cover off with the little screwdriver provided, stick on the power pak, and screw it in. It does add to the weight and thickness of the system, but you get used to it. I bought it for my trip to Japan last year - and it lasted me 1/2 the flight from the United States. I slept the rest! lol

The SuperCard DSTwo does drain the battery as you said, but it's not that bad, and this really helps!
Partially because the DS series has no sleep mode. It just tells the game to auto-pause and shuts the screen off, instead of... you know, actually putting the system to sleep to save on battery life.[...]a lot of battery power, even in sleep mode.
