I have an older 3DS I just picked up and I would like to protect it in one of those Hori clear type protective cases in case it is dropped by the kids while playing.

The problem is that it’s hard to find accessories for the older standard size 3DS, can anyone confirm if an older standard 3DS will fit in a new 3DS case? I read that for the XL it won’t, but I can’t find info on the standard sized one.

n3DS is slightly bigger than an o3DS. A pouch will fit but a crystal case won't, since it needs to be an exact fit.
Plus, the cartridge slot and ports are placed differently.

The ones that are parts and/or not working are from what I can see.

companies use them for three years or so
