it's literally only compatible with ONE type of microsd card (Sandisk - most of the other cards will break) so I then had to dosh out more money for a brand new SD card to use w/ the sky3DS.) Then once you've got that SD card, you'll probably find out that it doesn't work, so you'll have to go out and buy a third SD card just to try that instead

i agree that 65 british pounds is too much... but its up to you decide if it worths or not, because there are people who are just fine to spend 10 bucks every once and then on used games.
this was already discussed before, and the final answer is this one i gave you, people decide if it's worth it or not. if they can't make a good decision, then its their problem of having money on the first place

Then, finding roms without having to pay extortion to download websites is almost impossible. Most of the sky3ds retailers just link you to the same old website that required you to download essentially a "rom downloader" onto your computer, which even then is surprise surprise full of malware.

you are using the wrong websites\sources then... i understand that 3ds roms are a bit harder to find, but it shouldn't be any different from downloading other games...
i understand that pirate bay being down is a hassle but there is plenty of alternatives. and this just shows you how uninformative\lack of information you are..

what do you expect from nowadays devices? your phone is having issues on his OS what will you do? factory restart it, or no?

1) It is true. Other forums exist outside of gbatemp.
2) Yup, it's a lot of money for a flashcard, though I was under the impression that if I bought sky3ds then it would save me a lot of money in the long run, with a few decent games schedule to release later this year.
3)Except they are different. It's probably the newest rom exploit to any console today. Works roms which specifically apply to your flashcard and region are quite difficult to find. Especially when you already have the "popular" games bought.
4) Well generally apple applies a patch to their bugs and errors regarding their products. Of course, they advise a factor restart to help diagnose the problem you're having as opposed to outright fixing it.
5) I've never bought a gateway product in my life. Stop jumping to silly conclusions just because I wrote something negative about sky3ds lol.
6) Again, as previously stated, for a business to function it must have decent customer service. Clearly if you were in the real world you'd know this.

awk, I was under the impression it had a EU release.

Still, SOS is one of many roms that I have been searching for, and have failed.
I've seen downloads that require you to wait MORE than a day. Sure, that's a little price to pay when you're practically getting a free game, though that's not the main issue at hand.

The issue I'm upset about is the Sky3DS itself. Not the roms.

ninjhax 2.0 has region free I believe. If you put Cubic Ninja as the first game on your Sky3DS then you might be able to easily load the region free thing if you play non PAL games a lot.

By any chance (I'm assuming you already did this), did you initialize the SKY3DS after setting up the microSD? I had a similar issue where I thought my SKY3DS was defective (light blinked, nothing showed up), but it turned out that I had to initialize it. If you already did that, well, I would get a replacement.

you do understand that sky3ds is mostly likely done by a chinese company (if it is even a company)?
try to get support from super card team or any r4 cards, sellers or even gateway.
they don't give a shit about "costumer support" you are very lucky if you get a replacement card...
your answer most likely is a google translated one half in english and half in japanese\chinese or whatever
try to sue that cards that got "dual core" written on it when you find out they don't have a "cpu" or any "core"

tbh the main issue I'm having is that all of my roms aren't being read.

When I tested the roms for the first time a few days ago they worked fine, now however they miraculously stopped working and just show me the "Game card was removed" screen.

i had spent my ass answer every once and then to people with questions about r4 or other cards

If it worked before, then there's probably a contact issue with your SKY3DS card then. Try cleaning the pins on the card. They use really cheap plastic cases for the card, so sometimes adding a little tape to card can help the card create better contact with the card slot in the 3DS.
