I used a different program to edit the hex, Hex Workshop even.
Heres an example:
殿 (dono) is 826F, to change it to whatever you will need to search for it (Search - Hex Search in windhex)
Make sure if you change it that it doesn't increase the file size (ie, if its 826F you replace it with xxxx, nothing more)

I'm doing this...

1. Find what i want to change.

2. I Switch the table becouse i cant type Romaji in the sjis.tbl

3. Change what I want in the ascii.tbl

4. Switch ti sjis.tbl

5. And not show what i want "GEN".

What I'm doing wrong?

ps: this ROM is Tales Of Innocence.

You changed the 2-byte character '8FAB' to the 2-byte character '8F47'. You need to change the 8F byte to something lower than 80 in order to get two separate characters.

Ok!
Now it works!
I was changing the second, and the right is the first(white).

Is very difficult to translate becouse of the length limit...
I read in somewhere, that using pointers you con resolve

Someone here know how to type a large sentence?

Hope you don't mind if I contribute to this translation...

Darth, i do,'t understand why you make a patch for arm9 ? i have to unpack the rom and apply it to arm9.bin ? or I can apply it directly on the rom ?

and why it is this kind of patch ?
Because that tsukuyomi program made a 57mb ups patch when I tried to make one for the entire rom D=
Maybe Noitora can figure it out and make a combined one, but for now yes you'd have to unpack then apply then repack.

nvm >_>, just noticed it wasnt a full file patch, works now, great job on the translation, just the battle menu and the dark assembly and this game will be fully playable without any problems
