ROM Hack Disgaea translation

How can I "open" the text of the ROM?? I read tutorials, but i can't open. The hexadecimal editors don't work with me. Someone can Help me, how can I open the text of this ROM? Or a good tutorial specifically to NDS and japanease roms.

I use windhex and an Sjis table.Those are the only things I need to change text.

Noitora, once again im in need.

This:

is 9361 89BA 815B 8142
When i replace it with 50 72 69 6E 63 65 2E 20 it comes out as:

826F 8292 8289 828E 8283 8285 is 2 digits too long but comes out as this without them:

I was told to look up "ASM hacking" which by the looks of it is a little too experienced for me

How can I use Sjis table? Becouse I can´t see the japanese text. Nothing of Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. And what are the password of the zip file(the sjis)?

You can avoid assembly but you will have to use 2 bytes for each English character.Just use this table and write in English.

Thats the problem. If i use say 826F for P its too long to get a decent amount of text in

Then I guess the only thing you can do is change pointers.

Well it was mainly out of boredom. I don't like the idea how its out on the psp and the ps2 with very little to translate otherwise. When i got around to finding the script... i just carried on i guess.
But like i said, i wasn't really bothered anyways, just out of interest. I learned a lot, though so its all good

alephlm, that screenshot is a program i use, nothing to do with tables

Anyways download WindHex, extract and open
File - Open File for Editing - browse and select whatever file you want to edit
Then:
File - Open Table File - browse to the sjis.tbl
Option - View Text Data as Unicode
And there ya go, that will show the Japanese characters

Oh and Pioggia, i probably wont be doing anymore. Its due to be released officially soon and i don't wanna release a patch that shows "Prince." as "PPrriinnccee." as with everything else.

Thanks. Now I can see the text, but I can't change. How can i change the text? i try on hex. but in each table the value is different. If I change in ascii table the chenges dont go to sjis table... How an I do this could u can tell me step by step again??
