They changed the design of the whole battery casing, connector and also of the heat shield.

Man, thought replacing the batteries would be easier like the Wii U GamePad and Wii U Pro Controller had it. Still, that's manageable, of course.

There's quite a bit of difference in what the Wii U Gamepad does, and what the Switch 2 does. One is essentially a streaming device, and the other is a full portable console. The former does very little processing, so its design does not have to accommodate the necessities that are needed for the latter, like air flow with a cooling system, a heat plate for helping with heat dispersion, etc.Man, thought replacing the batteries would be easier like the Wii U GamePad and Wii U Pro Controller had it. Still, that's manageable, of course.

Have they managed to make the joy-cons so that the little ribbon cables don't get fucked from repeated opening & closing?
In the video posted earlier, the guy disassembles a joycon, the shell comes off without touching any component or button, and you can just unplug the battery
Looks like my left Joy-Con's battery drains a lot quicker than my right one and that's pretty annoying, just means I'll have to recharge it more often.
