I got a wii off ebay and it did have a fault as he said,
It makes a clicking sound when it tries to read discs,
and then it comes up with a 1101 disc read error,
The discs do work as I have 2 other wiis and they work well in them,
I don't quite know what the problem is like whether I need a new disc drive or to install a new laser,
Thanks in advance

If it's clicking, it's not just laser alignment, you'll need a new drive. You could also just use your other Wii systems (since you say you have multiple) and use USB Loader to create backup ISO files for yourself. You can then launch those on your broken Wii using USB Loader.

Are you sure it couldn't be anything like the motor has gone or the laser has came out of its tracks,

Yeah, I'm not sure at all since I'm not in front of your Wii. You're welcome to crack open your Wii, but personally I would just use USB Loader. It is, of course, your call.
