You're being a little sore.

This event is US-only, and only available if someone can make it to Gamestop on the two weekends. What about everyone else? They don't deserve the Deoxys? Sure, it gets rid of the exclusivity, but if you think about it this is all just a marketing ruse by Nintendo and Gamestop. I personally believe that using Pokesav is only cheating if you use it to create wondertombs and such impossible Pokemon to battle online. Even then, those Pokemon would immediately disqualify you in any serious competitive battling.

The way I see it, it's legit if you do it during the promotion time. I don't have a GameStop anywhere within an hour and a half of where I live, so basically, it's the same as me downloading it from them, so long as I don't modify it at all..

Actually, I was in the city yesterday, but my dad wouldn't let me out to check out the GameStop even though he spent half an hour trying to find a pair of shoes...

I've never liked the fact that most of the Legendaries Nintendo seems to jip most people out. Yes collecting is an element of it, purposely screwing people out who can't afford to get one a particular day shouldn't be apart of it. Would I love to go down and get Deoxys? Yes, I would. But we can't afford the gas or the hour long drive to go to the closest one just to get a single Pokemon.

What I'm more sick of is the fact that there clearly is a Wifi Mystery Gift function in the game, so why the hell doesn't Nintendo use it?

Unfortunately, that's an unavoidable bug in Pokesav. Even if we went in and hex edited it, loading it into Pokesav will still corrupt the é.

It's all just data, which can be replicated easily.

If you just want to play to "collect", then you do that. Nobody else is under any obligation to play by your rules, and whining about it changes nothing.

anyway, downloaded wondercards are not legit.
pokesav does not export it without modifying it. even the e' compatible version.

Actually, you end up with an exact copy of the original.

Once its in the game there's not a single difference.

Even if that's true (I wouldn't know)...who gives a crap?
You still get it from the Mystery Gift and you still get the exact same one that everyone who actually goes to the store gets.

Apparently, he counts it as a hacked Pokemon, so I guess if you go with his view you haven't legitly caught the Pokemon, if you're one of the people who's a diehard, non-hacking completionist, and you're just a cheater. Or something to that extent, I'm sure.

Regardless of Wonder Card legitimacy, the Deoxys is still generated by the game normally when you pick it up, making a Deoxys that is (I'm not going to use the word legit here, fearing it may offend some people) indistinguishable from one that was actually picked up from Gamestop.
