Day 19: Wiinja

On 26th January 2007, Costello announced the Wiinja, the very first Wii modchip. Then, on February 13th, the Wiinja Team announced support for the D2B chipset, then on February 26th they released a new modchip, the Wiinja Deluxe! This new chip offered upgrades, partial region-free-ness, and more.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge on this subject, as I don't keep up with the Wii scene, but members of staff are welcome to make this introduction better

These are definately "Bad" compared to most other Wii modchips available (Wiikey, CycloWiz,...).

Pretty bad

I have the first version of the Wiinja v1 and am unable to play Mario Galaxy.. the only game worth playing ATM. I need to upgrade

The wiinja deluxe is decent, but the v1 sucks.

Still not taken the plunge into Wii modding ... (My i year warrenty has only just expired so looking to do it in the new year

I hear the Cyclo is the best one available but this also sounds a good option ???

I'm looking for ease to install and fastest update ???

hmm I dunno this is one brakken supported I think so it's iffy I just said decent... I haven't really read much about this chip. I'm more of a wiikey supporter (especially clones just cuz it makes people angry

hey sinkhead, I think you should edit your post and specify which versions of wiinja you're talking about. Just a thought
