Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp comes to PC, PS4, and mobile next month

When Danganronpa Decadence arrived on the Nintendo Switch, Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp was also released alongside it. The game was an expanded and enhanced version of a minigame that was in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, and was exclusive to the Switch. Next month, that will no longer be the case, as publisher Spike Chunsoft is bringing it to multiple platforms. On July 21, 2022, Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp will release on PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, Android, and iOS, joining all the other systems that the rest of the Danganronpa games have been on.

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp is a massively enhanced version of Ultimate Talent Development Plan, the boardgame from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.

The stage is set at the tropical resort of Jabberwock Island, and players improve their characters via the "Development (Boardgame)," "Battle," and so on.

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp is the dream crossover of Danganronpa characters with over 1,000 event scenes, and offers new swimsuit outfits for all characters.

Also, players can now collect collab illustrations drawn for merchandise in the Mono Mono Machine!

Yay, more Japanese porn and violence. It's a weird combination of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, Breaking Bad, and Sailor Moon. I think I will pass.

Idk about this one but the main ones are a study on society and human psychology and behaviour, so the developer was really weirded out that in America they got so fixated with the deaths and treated it like it was Tom and Jerry.

...That's the board game where you pay like, a good amount of money for it and it still has microtransactions, right?

I, personally, don't see the deaths as akin to Tom & Jerry - because this cat and mouse duo doesn't feature any blood or gore, instead just having Tom temporarily shapeshift into an accordion or something before quickly reverting.

No, I view them as akin to Itchy & Scratchy, which even now I find nauseating and uncomfortable.
It's one reason why I haven't watched the Simpsons in years, why I've never played Danganronpa, and why I've never played Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma - I don't have the stomach for brutal murders.

Wasn't the point of this modes to see the characters outside of the killing game? it kinda defeats the point if you can't play the main story

In the main story, you have a limited amount of time to spend with the characters to get to know them better. Of course, since they die throughout the story, you'll have no opportunity to deepen your relationship with some of them, that's why Danganronpa has always had a classic dating sim mode in which you can experience characters' stories and thoughts. If it weren't like this, you would have to play the story over and over just to complete the friendship with the others.

This is just an enhanced version of that classic mode.

Does it cap out at a certain tb
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
no, i can switch to which drive I want to access with a button on it, I have 4 2tb and 1 4tb, all dif formats, so will work good for me
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So you could have a petabyte with it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
You made me go back and look, it says 32tb max per drive. It will be nice when setting up game systems, I can carry one enclosure around, instead of grabbing the right Ext hdd for, say Xbox360 games
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So about 128tb still more than you'd ever need

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I thought about just buying a new ext hdd 12tb like you shown, then format multiple partitions on it, but I'm lazy.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Buy 4 won't have to

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
It was only $75 so still cheaper than a new drive. And less hassle. It would take forever to copy everything over also.

I like retroarch, once you set it up completely, it's cool. Artwork, summary, and screen shots for all your games is a nice touch. It's basically a organizer for all your emulators/games.

    start setting up

the setup is taking too long
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
So you give up already? If you just want to just play games, not setup for game covers, details, etc; then just use PC emulators alone by they self. Example "Nestopia" or "Project64", etc
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Couldnt finish setting it up
