I would just like to have the "next game cannot be loaded" fixed. If it supports the mic and network adapter it's good enough.
Yeah, that's the only problem I have with it. Once that's fix I'm a happy camper.

I'm using rev13 and USB Loader GX (rev 448) and find that if I exit a game by choosing the Home button and then choose "Wii Menu" I will be unable to load a new game from the USB Loader GX list. If instead of choosing "Wii Menu", I choose "Restart" (you would hear the Wii drive make its Eject noise) I am able to load a new game from the USB Loader GX and continue indefinitely.

For me rev13 (non 13b) is the best as I am now able to play all games I've tried so far without my Freecom XXS drive spinning down too.

BTW I am using the Official forwarder for the USB Loader GX.

yeah i was thinking it might be that lol. wanin has extreme taste in music LOL
AFAIK, linkinworm wrote and preformed it.

Ah, I apologize, I didn't mean that it was bad. I just meant that it wasn't my usual style.
But I'm actually pretty impressed that linkinworm made it, and I actually enjoy listening to it for that brief period which is the install, that's why I wanted the sound quality to be better so it's more appealing to me

kudos to linkinworm and waninkoko.

Sorry to drag this off on a tangent too.

--- Begin Short Question ---
In short, is there a way to completely uninstall IOS38 Rev13 (including the USB mods) back to IOS36 Rev10?
(and just overwritting it with the installer doesn't seem to undo the USB mods - see long question section
smile.gif
)
--- End Short Question ---

---Long Question follows---

Ok, so when you install IOS38 Rev13, the USB ports (0 and 1) get "split" into USB2 and USB1.1 usage... is this correct?

If so, how do you modify the NAND (or whatever else needs to be done) in order to return the USB ports back to the way they were prior to the IOS38 Rev13 install? I don't think just reverting back to IOS36 Rev10 or earlier changes this modification. I also tried re-running the CIOS USB2 installer and it didn't work.

When I revert back to IOS36 Rev10, the USB HD still has to be plugged into port 0, otherwise Waninkoko's loader doesn't recognize it. Previously, I could have it in either USB port. So, Can it be undone completely? I even tried to downgrade the System menu.

Sorry if I'm not clear or not understanding what's really going on, that's why I'm asking

Not true, I just reverted back to rev10 from 13. Was previously using the 0 port which was the only working one on rev13. I tried switching to the 1 port and it still works for rev10.

With rev 10 i wasnt able to use both my USB HD & my battery charger.
With rev 13 i can use both at the same time !!
Of course i m only able to plug the HD on a specific port but who care ?

Thanks for the rev13 Waninkoko works perfect for me !

i hope rev13b works finds my iomege usb drive like rev10

Hi, i have one of the Iomega 320gb drives from tescos and have only managed once to get it recognized by the Wii.
what is the best set of CIOS + usb loaders + anything else i need to get this working any ideas?

The drives comes with a usb cable which has a double connector on one end, ive tried various port arrangements. The one and only time it worked must have been a fluke!

Thanks

If it has a double usb on 1 end, it sounds like a drive that is powered by usb ports. Try connecting both usb connectors to the wii simultaniously and the single connector end to the drive. It might have some power issues.

I use an Iomega 500 Gb drive with its own power supply and have no problems with it at all

I have this drive 320gb iomega from Tesco's

Use cios rev 11.. & usbloader gx with forwarder. Make sure the drive is formatted with two partitions. Both must be primary!!! (use partition manager 8)

First partition format as Fat 32, The second partition must be a wbfs partition (first format as ntfs, then use wbfs manager to format as wbfs)..

Disable wii connect 24, or if you want it enabled use preloader 0.29 and enable the ignore stand by connection option.

For the drive to be recognised the wii must be turned on from being off, not standby. It appears turning the wii on, powers the drive up correctly

This works fine for me using this method.

another thing you may consider.. take the drive out of its caddy and connect to the PC, use hdparm and disable the spindown

I noticed with rev13a it turns off the usb hard drive when the wii is off, oh wow nice no more unplugging my hd
OH WAIT I use a USB wiimote charger that now shuts off LAME
