Hacking Custom IOS38 rev 14

Hello to all
Well try to install Rev 14 but the installer freezes my wiimote and can't get past the first part of the installation.
Got 4.0U WII
HBC 1.0.3
USB Loader GX
Any ideas?

It freezes at the 1st part, or after selecting IOS249? If it's after selecting IOS249, try IOS250 or any other trucha bugged IOS you have.

I installed CIOS 38 REV 14 with out any issues at first it was not seeing my HD and then found out you need to switch USB port on the wii so people switch USB ports the drive plug in too.

So, I was very pleased when I updated to rev14 ...
Most things worked out fine - but now the wife found out that EA Sports Active is not working from the USB HDD anymore ...
Checked it myself and couldn't get it running! (USB Loader 1.5, NeogammaR6/R7 and USB LoaderGX)

Also still failed to get Summer Athletics 2009 running. Tried all rev13a-13b-14 with any loader ... FAIL/green screen of death!

Any suggestions?
Know bug in rev14 for some games from HDD?

(On rev13b everything works again from HDD except SA2009)

Funny thing is that the switch of USB ports has been such since cIOS rev12. I am somewhat (*somewhat*) surprised that people are still in the process of realizing this...

Just a tiny little speed up for loading.
...maybe some problems you didn't have in the first place!

(Everything is running - be happy and stick with it! But, you can update and if not happy go back without any trouble!)

EA sports active runs fine for me using rev14 and usbloader gx rev675. Only settings iI have on is the global 002 fix in the loader

Thanks - I will check if I have an outdated version of the GX and will try your setting!

I have tried updating to 38 rev14, and it says SUCCESS..but when im in the HBC i press the home button and it still says IOS36 4.10 (1.0.1)

Any idea's on how i can update this to 38 rev14?

Homebrew channel doesn't run off of cIOS.

If you have Neogamma, when you boot it up it tells you what rev you're on at the bottom of the screen? eg IOS249 v14

dun4cheap and bosman I try already like all of the downloads in the links and it's the same the installer will freeze the wiimote and the lights will blink like 8-9 times and that's it.
I also disconnected every thing from the Wii like You suggested

After reading this thread I think I lost a billion brain cells! I vote GBAtemp create a noob section and keep all advanced information (like this thread) closed. Once the noob reads reads and does more reading he will then need to complete a basic information test and upon completion will he then be able to access threads like this!

I am not a person that likes to flame others cause face it we were all noobs at one point but come on READ before you post and then make sure what you are saying makes sense!!!

Oh also, no problems here with cIOS rev 14! everything works fine. Awesome job Wanin!!!!

does this mean that we can use the rebooter to boot backups through the disc channel again without having to pre-patch the disc to IOS249? If so then I'm downloading this right NAO!

Sorry to hear that Rem.

Only thing I can suggest is running a signcheck to see what IOS's are installed and reporting back here, maybe something is missing.

Maybe 1 of the guru's here can help, I wouldn't do any more just in case you break something.

Well, I finally did it. I upgraded from CIOS rev 9 to 14. I can confirm the SSBB error. I get through the opening video, but I get the disc error during the demo fight.

Hey all. I updated to cIOS r14 and I noticed something. As I'm playing through Rock Band 2 through USBLoader GX my guitar looses its connection in the middle of the song. It was as if my batteries died but my little blue led was shining as bright as can be. It gave me a message and the option to continue or go to the main menu. It wouldn't let me select either as if it were frozen, but the "no home" symbol showed when I pushed the home button and the Wii would turn off by holding the power button on the Wiimote. I've also tried Guitar Hero Smash Hits and the guitar lost it's connection 3 times during the song but was allowed to continue. It is a Gutiar Hero controller and I was playing single player in quickplay in case it matters. I'm going to try GH:WT & Metallica, and if I get the same glitch I will downgrade back to 13a and report if that fixes it. If anyone else has had this problem and fixed it, please let me know what you did. If anyone else would like to test thiers to see if it could be a case of bad dumps(diarrhea, cha, cha, cha) or an actual bug with cIOS r14.

I played RB2 just today using USB Loader CFG...works fine without loosing sync. Either it is USB Loader GX or your gear. I'm running v4.1 firmware and cIOS rev 14 of course.
