Hacking Custom IOS38 rev 14

After installing this crap both my HDD stopped working. Luckily I could restore it with a Nand Backup.

Ever though of switching usb slots ?

Did not work. After I installed rev 13 it also did not work.
The only bad thing now is that my save from Virtual Tennis 2009 is send 1 day back

What's stupid? Hmm, you have some problem with the cIOS. I think we aggree that's bad and unwanted. Ok. We both(?) want that to be fixed in the next version. Now tell me how Waninkoko should be able to fix your problem?

This "crap" is created from the person who made rev13. If you think this is crap, why bother to install rev13? Heck, why r u even here? Please send ur wii back to nintendo to have them replace it with a wii with official software and play all ur original retail disc without any problem and dont come back here forever.

That is not stupid its more selfish. I want that all my family members can pick up the Wii and play it without thinking its broken. By installing rev 14 it doesn't.

You have to put things into perspective. These guys, that are obviously very smart put alot of their time and effort to making cios, loaders, lots of smart apps, etc, for people to use that otherwise would not be able to do these things on their own.

We are not paying money for this stuff, we have no business getting angry if stuff is not made the we want it to work. They could easily do nothing and we would have nothing. I just appreciate the work people do and use the stuff that works the best for myself.

Honestly, it seems that all stuff out in the last few months is just causing more problems than they are fixing.

I run rev10 with a 4XX something version of USB Loader GX and every game, old and new (apart from the very few known IOS reload games) works perfectly.

I'll stick with my setup until there is some compelling reason to upgrade.

Having all those same games working, but loading at almost twice the speed isn't a compelling reason? I honestly think that at least 95% of the people I've seen having trouble with rev14 are using USB Loader GX, and have been using it for a while without ever learning what any of the settings mean/are.

cios rev 14 works fine for me using USB Loader GX. No problems at all, I even believe the games boots up faster for me.

For you others that have problem, either downgrade or get a fail proof thing called A MODCHIP!

This I can understand its makes me feel bad instead of insulted by being called stupid.
And I don't want be ungrateful because I am very happy with the USBloader that works on rev 10.
I'm sorry if I did insult Waninkoko I use his product almost every week.

So here is was setup:
- Wii pal 4.0
- rev 14
- Wiikey
- HD is "Sitecom USB 2.0 Hard Drive External Case for 3.5 IDE Harddisk" With an 160 GB IDE HD inside.
- 4 GB kingstone mini SD

'Configurable USB loader' and 'USBloaderGX' both do a 30 second countdown.
Did not work in both USB slots and it also didn't work when and when I installed a fresh USBloaderGX installation on another SD it also didn't work.
After this I installed rev 13 and It also didn't work.

you're external hdd case, does it have a power supply or is it usb powered? if it has a power supply unplug it and plug it back in before powering on your wii. i have to do this with my seagate.

Hi all,

Having an issue now I have installed Rev14, everything is producing dumps including going into Coverfloader.

I am on 4.0E and have just upgraded from Rev13a. Gone back to that now and all is okay.

Have I missed something here?

when you guys use the alt dol option from the disc, do you get a pop up saying the something like"you have some useful information that our development team would like to know, please contact us" or something along those lines? I get it everytime. AWESOME feature btw!(alt dol from disc).

Oh and also, how do you get the cheat manager to work? Every time i download cheats and boot the game it says the "cheats.txt does not exit booting game without cheats". still cool feature.

after you download the cheat, select the ones you want then save it. it should work after that.

Seriously... Everything on this scene is for free. Who cares if they made a release date and was late to it, if it bricks your wii, Its not their fault. Because most of the time people are just morons and too lazy to read. If it has bugs and problems, then don't use it instead of complaining, just because its probably something you did wrong.

You could at least explain why the "-Anti error 002 system removed." was removed in favour for the "- Support for games with new error 002."

Rev 13 changed the USB port required for the USB loaders..... perhaps that was your problerm ?

Do don't know anything. The 002 fix was removed from the cIOS because it can't be done properly there, and the anti 002 fix was removed, because there are too many people who don't understand this, or don't understand my ??? post or just don't understand why just enabling EVERYTHING a loader offers is stupid.
